Maidstone 3 Tooting 0 Dulwich 3 Sittingbourne 1 Faversham 1 Herne Bay 4 Leatherhead 0 Hythe 1
Now looks to be a 2 horse race with Stones 6 points clear of Dulwich who have 3 games in hand, Stones goal difference is 13 better than Dulwich.

Comfortable win in the end for The Stones, especially after the Tooting centre backs really took issue with the ref & one got sent off for dissent. Played some good football against the 10 men, although were laboured in the first half. Flisher's goal was a picture & much like the quality football we have played earlier in the season.

Tooting center halfs seemed to have a mad 10 minutes and from then on we were so comfortable. Their no5 demonstrated a total lack of intelligence, what a muppet. Draycot and Flish were superb , and the human wall in midfield, Danny and Tim worked very hard . 3 nil up with the game won we eased off and strolled the rest of the game

Good performance, excellent result, great attendance and perhaps the best referee we've seen for a long time too.
Jay said that Ben Greenhalgh might be available to us for the rest of the season too owing to him not being able to sign for a Scottish club as he's already played for 2 English clubs this season
Thought Watts (my MOTM) and Sobers looked good again today, Flish and Mills signed for another season, and an afternoon at Chipstead to look forward to next weekend, happy days

Once again thought Draycott was the difference today. Followed up Watt's header really well. Fantastic pass for Flisher's goal. In general his touch, passing and movement was top notch.
At times (in the second half) we strung passes together much like we did during our run of form earlier in the season. Still not quite there, but it looks like we might be hitting our stride just at the right time. I hope I am not tempting fate there.

Thought team looked very inbalanced today. Midfield three of Tim Danny and Alex very lop-sided. Not helped by Alex playing all over the place. His and our strength is when he is causing havoc down left wing.today the free role he was given just seemed to have him over the pitch but not always where he could do any damage- or more importantly where his team mates could find him to give him the ball.playing either Tim or Danny but not both should have let us play either Rory or Kane on right. Having said that the result is all that matters although T and M certainly helped us when they decided to self destruct

Thought we played really well after the relief of getting the first goal, not having a ball player in midfield we looked disjointed. But a win is a win.. Listening to Jay's aftergame interview talking about extending Steve Watts loan until the end of the season, push the boat out Jay get him signed up for next season and make him captain!! superb on the ball, never panic's and always finds an outlet...

fantastic second half shame the move of the game with flish millsy and kingy involved didnt result in a goal, would have been goal of the season. glad to see danny lye get 90 under his belt he works so hard and always gives 100 per cent. Happy for jay hes had a lot of stick on this forum of late but people forget the run of injuries we have had, yesterday no humps, andrews micky phillips, browny, ade, the back bone of the team yet we still put in a performance like that, long may it continue.

Great result and a great performance by the team, 1st half we played our usual polite football but never looked under pressure, 2nd half was in total contrast to the 1st half and we came out with a different attitude and tempo and slowly turned the screw which obviously the T&M defenders didn't like and couldn't cope with, hence the sending off of there No5, i thought the whole team played really well and special praise must go to our 2 centre backs Sobers and Watts who were comfortable all day and to Draycott and King who looked lively up front, onwards to next Saturdays game away at Chipstead.....COYS

That move was a joy to watch, can't wait to see it again on mufctv. Danny put in a very good performance...still got the shit ripped out of him by the same supporters who couldnt handle ironic chants towards kingy though. Dire first half cost me my coupon, shouldve known better I guess!

I don't entirely agree with people who though we were flat before half time. Maybe not quite as fluent as earlier in the season but we created enough to have been two or three up with a bit more composure in the box. It makes a massive difference kicking towards the town end in the second half. Some of our worst performances this season have been when we have kicked off the first half towards the town end. We were superb second half, even before their centre backs lost their discipline after the second goal. I thought after the third goal we maybe started to overplay a bit and that if we had been a bit more direct at times we could have added another couple. Apart from that it was the best home performance for months and we have started to look more like the team we were earlier in the season.

Dave watching Maidstone at the moment its very Jekyll and Hyde, and that is not a criticism of the team or Jay its just that we seem very quiet and reserved 1st half and 2nd half its all guns blazing, i suppose that could be down to the crowd who are again pretty quiet in the 1st half and then 2nd half all hell breaks loose, who knows but i agree the performance was a marked improvement from some of the recent games for example Burgess Hill and we are starting to look like the team at the start of the season, which can only be a good thing, looking forward to next weeks game at Chipstead...COYS

I must commend those that stay in the town end and make a noise both halves.
We can even hear the jolly fellows from the VP area. Makes a very unusual background noise to go with the cheese board and smoked salmon.
Keep up the good work young men!
