Well as one Folkestone fans says on their forum some Maidstone fans don't know how lucky they are with all this moaning. New ground and top of the league! Blimey talk about a tough audience. No team will win every game in a season.. there will be poor performances and there will be good ones. I think many of our fans always fail to give the opponents any credit. As if they should just roll over and let us win every week. ...and we didn't even lose on Saturday. We were away at a very good team. Yes it would have been nice to win but in reality drawing at a strong team like Folkestone is not necessarily a bad performance! Let's see this board light up when a team beats us four or five nil.

To be honest all this talk is irrelevant, we are top of the league and we are playing badly We have got some good players and we have got some duffers! Is Jay feeling the pressure? I would bloody well hope so! Can we still go up this season? Absolutely! I would think the equation is simply, he takes us up he keeps his job Until then all we can do is support Jay and the team COYS You've sobered up since Saturday then?

Sort out the pace at centre back, sort out the pace at centre back...I feel like I have been saying this all season....oh I have Tactically we looked very naive. When we went 2-1 up you could see the Walton manager change their set up and personnel to deal with us which obviously worked. We just kept on doing the same things/mistakes over and over again with the bench not changing things until to late. Have to concur with you here, Zig's. They were set up to play fast counter attack from the start. If we have the same pace problems through the season then you can see more sides coming and doing this. It might have been worth switching Tom Mills to centre back to deal with the pace down the centre or maybe pulling Sam Bewick into the centre mid and bringing on Woolery.

Come on AJ you must know better than most about pressure and making substitutions that aren't popular with everyone when you were manager of Hunton reserves . The mighty Hunton. I remember winning Division 5 with them many moons ago. Probably the best team the Maidstone area has ever seen.

I'd hate to see how some of our fans would react if we were not top of the league and had the best goal difference etc. Not sure how they would have coped during our five years in the Ryman Prem when we were near the bottom every year. I started to watch the Stones again when we first got back in the Kent League and have only missed a couple of home games since including the dark days of the Ryman Premier. The point is I knew we would struggle when we was groundsharing but now we should win this league with the gates we are getting but I can see us in Ryman south again next season. So dont just blame new supporters as there is a few older supporters who are not happy.

You are right soulstone, there are plenty of the 'old' supporters that aren't happy Not just with the results but the way we set up, the balance of the squad, substitutions and so on However, there's nothing we can do about it, and there are plenty of games yet, so all's not lost, although it is looking like more like the play offs What worries me is how much we rely on Flish, ok any team that loses a key man will suffer, but our performance seems to drop massively. With the exception of Dulwich, when have our league performances matched the ones in the cups (East Thurrock excepted) What does that say? As for the budget, despite the high attendances I know that the budget was set based on much lower crowds and wasn't going to be changed in the first year of trading Anyway just my opinion!

OK chaps, it's so much easier to talk the talk than to walk the walk. Pretty much everyone on this forum can see what we need to do in an ideal situation, and I'm sure Jay knows as well, but unlike us, he doesn't have the luxury of only having to talk about it.

So we must not joke about things and we must not discuss our season. Can I ask what a football forum is for? It seems you seem to accept that everything is always OK regardless of the evidence put before you. Looking at recent games...if we are to win the division...do you think we can continue to drop points at the rate we are or are you now saying you don't want to win every game? A different position from last season.
