Casuals werent what you'd call stiff opposition, but taking nothing away from our peformance tonight, it was the right game at the right time for us
thought Kayne was excellent, instrumental in the 1st and 3rd goals, chased down a defensive clearance on the edge of the box which broke to Draycs who made no mistake, and then chased what looked like a lost cause to keep the ball in play, which lead to free-kick from which Flish got his 2nd
Draycs did very well for me too, he chased and hustled and never stopped.
I also thought it was encouraging that when Saun was subbed, we actually switched from the long ball down the park, instead they played to feet, very successfully too, thru the middle and out wide which lead to numerous very good chances that should have been converted
as has been said, good performances from all involved tonight, well done lads

Agree about it being the right game at the right time. Improved performance because we made attempts to pass our way up the pitch rather than belt it. TBH we scored three and created many more. Boothy had a couple of chances he would have buried earlier in the season (one a header from a pinpoint Hill cross) and Draycott really should have got more than one. We created lots of chances and looked fairly untroubled at the back apart from their goal, which was really due to poor defending.

A good performance against a poor side, it's got to be said. We played defenders at the back, proper midfielders in the midfield and passed the ball on the deck, didn't leave substitutions for the last 5Min's, and hey, we won! Maybe Derren could have done better with the goal, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt
Onwards and upwards!

Agree with the previous comments. I would also mention that I thought Alex Brown had a very good game in the middle. Didn't allow them time on the ball, made some good tackles & used the ball well

Well done to those Stones fans who ventured to Tolworth last night for this one.
I love the history behind Corinthian & Casuals, the intimate nature of the ground, the closeness to the game etc etc.
What isn't great is the last leg of the car journey, from Tolworth Junction down the slip road to King George's Fields.
Last year this was a 'mare on a Saturday Afternoon, quite what it was like on a dark & cold Tuesday Evening with local people scurrying home from work I can't imagine.........
Anyway, top effort chaps !!

I was enjoying the history bits in the bar last night, Porky, with all the memorabilia on the wall. I wholeheartedly agree with your comments. This game was also good after the shenanigans of Saturday. Proper little ground, friendly club with non-league history and pedigree. Never a feel of dislike towards us because we have our big home gates. Comfortable in their own skins

Yeah, agree with all previous comments. There were some long balls when we could have kept it on the floor, but overall there was some good play and some enjoyable moments. Could easily have had 7 or 8 and I know they weren't the best of opposition, but at least we had many chances and we can't say that for some of the recent games - Ramsgate springs to mind.
Great to see Flish back, what a joy to see him down the wing. Bit worried when he hurt his knee, but he ran that off. Hill looked good, bit of pace and great ball in for Boothy.
Yeah, strange bit of road that last bit, thought I was going the wrong way down the road.
Gotta give credit to the small army of 6 or 7 WC fans behind the goal - made a fair bit of noise.

Apparently the claim that they only pay expenses isn't believed by some people, although why the hell it should matter is beyond my understanding.

Also, why was there a Bognor Regis Town FC flag behind the far goal?

There were two Bognor fans who had joined the CC fans. Apparently, these two do this when they have no game. I quite like the idea of a multi-fan support. They all certainly seemed to be enjoying their little sing-song

Another good reason for that Forum to have been closed down Dave !

Just looked at the attendance for Tuesday nights game, which was 176 making it Corinthian-Casuals highest attendance of the season, which is a real shame, I don't know how these clubs survive.
