Well I think DH deserve a bit of credit for trying to get the game on and who can blame them. It would have been the perfect time to play us. They are in great form and although we have been picking up valuable points we have been riding our luck. It spices things up I would say. There is still a long way to go and I would much rather see this played out towards the end of the season so if the league has any sense they will re-schedule this as late as possible cos it has the potential to be a championship decider.

It must be played within 28 days, ruling out hopes of making it a "decider"

Anyone reading this would have thought we were playing in Hartlepool, not at The Hamlet. C'mon get a grip, some of you sound a right bunch of pussies, not hardened Isthmian League fans who will always find a positive from a negative. The Sainsbury's had 270 extra lines than the Maidstone Branch and stocked a fine 2005 Rioja. Cheers and see you on Tue Hope the £15 you spent getting to Dulwich, on the advice of the club themselves, was worth it! Bellend It's the poor bastards who spent four hours shovelling snow and hiring an industrial heater I feel sorry for. Beaten by their own optimism is how I read it. I'm sure the Dulwich management are already considering (hint, hint) sending vouchers to our club with 50% off the gate & a free pint for all those that travel to the re-arranged fixture. A magnanimous gesture that would go some way to compensating us for the wasted journey. Bellend x

Quite a surprise to me considering I'd received texts saying we'd won 3-2. Still, the good news is that I might be able to go now and at least I wasn't involved in that absolute farce. I remember a similar thing when we played (or didn't) at Phoenix Sports once. Our clubcall said that it was on at 1-30pm so I belted up the motorway from Worthing only to find out it had been called off at 1-40! I then went back down the motorway to sit in a Worthing pub with some drunken gadge trying to annoy me by constantly saying, in a loud voice, that Wolves had lost! I gues our badges are kinda similar in a not very similar way! I can also remember getting stuck in an M25 jam once and arriving at the ground right on full time to find we'd beaten Bearsted for the first time ever. I can still Mr Hemsley coming out and going, 'what a brilliant game, shame you missed it'.

I have nothing but praise for the volunteers who helped move the snow. I just can't understand how the club itself can advise all Maidstone fans on Friday to await the 10.30 pitch inspection before travelling and then so blatantly mislead everyone due to their desire to get the game on.

Will be at least 16 days until the rescheduled game, which allows Humphries, Flisher, Phillips the chance to get fit - and Dulwich's next 2 games are against CDG and away at Leatherhead

I am not sure if DH have any other games to re-arrange which might take priority?

Not rocket science all of this. You make a decision before everyone starts travelling then stick to it unless the weather is really bad. Making a decision 90 minutes before kick off makes the earlier decision pointless.

Quite a surprise to me considering I'd received texts saying we'd won 3-2. To be honest, I was surprised you fell for it. I expected that you'd send out your usual "virtual scoreboard" service and someone would put you right. Also, see the second message, where the scorers were "Lye, King" and then don't pronounce the "K". ;D
