I think it will probably average out at about 1500, but if we are playing in the Rymans Premier next year, depending on the visiting teams the attendance could be up to the magical 2000, i think the owners understand that there will have to be a certain amount of fine tuning to the ground as i don't think they could have imagined the crowds we are currently getting, we do need another turnstile along with more toilets and if possible improving some of the sight lines around the ground so people get a good view of the game and not the back of somebodies head, onwards and upwards

Eventually though people will realise that R1S is not great quality ..... In every year there are a handful of good teams who are contenders - Dulwich obviously in this year - so there is no easy promotion year. A slight contradiction there, I would say. Despite the "lack of quality" in the division, we seem to be having an awful lot of difficulty beating the opposition, and I suspect that ours was quite an expensive team to assemble. I'm not convinced that there is that much difference between R1S and Premier divisions, if you discount the top few teams in the Premier. But in the Premier you get the results in the broadsheet papers and on Sky, which raises the profile of the club, so promotion is very much to be desired and fought for, if only for the sake of the owners. I'd still buy a season ticket even if we didn't go up.

You only need to look at Bognor and Whitehawk to see the difference is not that huge

Would Premier Division status also increase our seeding in the FA Cup and Trophy, thus obviously increasing the chance of getting further, playing bigger clubs etc ?

No seeding, but would mean we go in at a later stage

It also said that the club were looking at portable terracing for the open side, even if only a few uncovered steps, to improve sightlines. An extra terrace module at the Springfield End is also being looked at. Although not officially announced, from what I've heard it would be a good bet that an additional turnstile block and an extension of the Main Stand towards the Springfield End will be built this summer.

If you're organised and prepared for it I don't think the difference is as big as some make out. Lets be honest, last time we went up we were an utter shambles on and off the pitch.

If you look at our performances in the cups, we've more than held our own against higher opposition so I'm certain this squad would be mid table or higher in the prem, which is why its so frustrating that we keep dropping points against (on paper) weaker sides.

I think we have been struggling with the Sat/Tues, Sat/Tues schedule, lets not forget that most of these lads do a days work and then go out and play in the evening, the fatigue is understandable, yes you can say that applies to both teams but it is a big factor

No excuse I'm afraid, yes it's true but as you say, it does apply to all teams. Plus we keep hearing how we've got the squad for it, so it should effect us less. The fact is, at Ramsgate there were 6 (maybe 7) first teamers out. Any side would struggle with this, and we've been missing key players regularly over the past month or so. I'm confident once we get back to a strong, settled side we'll start to take control again

Doesn't quite apply to all teams though. How many other teams have had no home games called postponed. I pointed out on another thread that I think it is probably the only down side of the 3G pitch. Every other team has had at least a couple of games off, while we have played every game apart from the Saturday of the Halifax game. It's all very well having a pitch that never has postponements, and I wouldn't change it for the kind of mud baths we used to play on, but it's bound to take it's toll on the players eventually while everyone else is having a rest.

So we are playing masses of games more than anyone else and the players are fatigued. Someone had better tell the league because it seems the teams around us have played more games than us. Surely their maths is wrong somewhere.

That's not actually what I said though is it. It's just you as usual making an argument out of nothing.

Dulwich have played four games less than us and Leatherhead have played two games less than us. These teams are now playing pretty much all the time on the mudbaths that are very sapping on the legs so they must be just as fatigued. You do chat nonsense sometimes.

Utter tosh, you are well aware that both of those teams together with most of the other teams in the division have had at least two postponements recently. Not only that, as you so rightly pointed out, they have played less games than us so it's logical that we would be more tired than them.
