Also to add in my most brown-nosing way, I can totally understand the club's position on coach travel and hopefully come next season we'll be running them ourselves Ok, my intention of this post was not a criticism of club, Nadine (as she knows ) or anyone else for that matter, but more of trying to gather opinion if the SC should be started again Of course, high on the list (for me) would be to try and start running coaches not just for the 'drinkers' but also supporters that don't drive and rely on public transport. Having the backing of a supporters club would allow more confidence in trying to organise transport! We used to get crowds of 300 and had 150 odd SC members now with crowds of 1500+ there is so much more that could be achieved if we could talk through a combined voice and make them feel they do belong to this great club

I can totally understand the club's position on coach travel Which is..... You don't make money on it, and if you get a game called off you could be hit for a hire that nobody wants to pay for! I think the cup matches are part paid for by the home club

In my opinion, away travel has to be top of the agenda, not just for the longer journeys, but there's an argument for doing it for every game. Add in a newsletter and a membership card and job done

I thought that the Bring the stones Home team was going to become the Supportes club now that we were home, Is that not happening or has it been forgotten about??? Yes that was supposed to be the idea pampy 1. I remember that at the time if anyone was interested in helping out or getting involved they were to let btsh know. I , along with a couple of others , sent of emails pledging our support and our willingness to get involved. I never got an answer, was just ignored, and the members of btsh were morphed into a supporters club, with as far as I know, no new blood. That supporters club as far as I know does not exist now

I thinks it a great idea and am more than happy to assist in anyway i can, i believe the 1st thing we do is start with away travel, maybe have a chat with Brookline coaches and see how they feel about being our official travel partners and take it from there

Tim for Chairman! I'd be happy to come along to a meeting sometime and see what we could all set up between us. NWS for chairperson A meeting, either official or not, to set the ball rolling sounds like a plan. Hare and Hounds or Old House would get my vote, they seem to be the pubs that have done the most for us. Prior to a game or on a match-free evening?

“Happy New Year!! “I don’t think we’ll be running any more away coaches (still keep looking at the calendar thinking we should a game pencilled in for the 8th!) however, if we get a show of hands for at least 30 people then, of course, we’ll try and get things sorted.
“I can tell you that Shepherd Neame is doing a drink offer for all those who are at the Dulwich Hamlet game between 1pm and 2pm. All session lager and Spitfire is £2 per pint.
“(The first person to mention ‘how about a coach then’ will be placed on the naughty step!)
“x x x” Me again! This is what I posted last week and we only got a handful of Stones saying they’d like a coach…Brookline are simply fabulous and will do a coach for us for every away game, I just need you to GET IN TOUCH!!
I won’t mention the H game again I promise but the noise and atmosphere from those who travelled up and the 26 who got the coach was awesome and totally out sang the home fans! It was simply fabulous so of course we want to get everyone to every game!
We also want every trip to be fabulous so simply running an open ticket system may not work (got a bit lively coming back from Ramsgate and the Bedford journey when it was only me and four others on the mini coach will live with me for a long time!!!)
I know the lovely Tim wasn’t starting a coach travel debate but I thought I’d just say a little something x I’m out now x x x

Seems reasonable to me, so maybe we should look ahead at games like Walton and the like which are bad to get to and maybe start arranging away travel now for those games, get people to pay up in advance and there should be no problems. What do you guys think is it feasible

only a question would the coach travel be aimed at drinkers or all fans? as the ramsgate coach left at 11.30 and by the time the match kicked off some fans seemed well oiled to say the least.

I did think about possible booking a coach seat for the Ramsgate game, but the more I looked into it it sounded as though it was going to be a bit of a 'jolly boys outing' with a lot of fans looking to get streamed up as drinking seemed to be very high on the listof things of things to do...ok, fair enough, but as I'm not a drinker at all I really didn't fancy being stuck on a coach possibly full of drunken football fans, didn't really sound like my idea of a good day out to be honest...wonder how many others looked into it, read a few posts on here etc and thought the same thing

I thought drinking on football coaches was against the law.
