Jordan Higgs is not even on the bench, so I take it he's injured again. Presume so. Strong side out

Well, that is a nice surprise. Can we start doing that at home, please?

Good win. Played well both halves. Much more threat. Rode our luck on occasions but they did too.
Had a different feel to the team. Surely Corne coming in hasn’t had that much of an impact?! He was good though. Best the midfield has looked forward and back.
Andre made an important save at 1-0

Last week I think all but 6 teams drew, this week there were no draws.

He was good though. Best the midfield has looked forward and back. Andre made an important save at 1-0 We looked different with Corne in the side at Herne Bay, so maybe he has. It's probably more than that - others coming back, new players, 10 games into the season, etc - but certainly having Captain Corne back makes a difference.

Who the f**k is Brian Clough ? I assume you jest,if on the other hand you do not then Cloughy wasn't the greatest manager of all time but he was in the top 1. The season after our demise I drove to Nottingham Forest for want of anything better to do. I unbeknowingly parked in the great mans space ,when I was asked to move it I explained to Cloughy that I didn't realise and was only here because my team had gone bust. The great man told me to stay where I was and he relocated his car to a different position, that is pure class, pure majesty from a pure genius. Today's overpaid Prem managers are nothing compared to Cloughy. Cloughy was also a decent forward. He held the record for the fastest 200 goals in the league for yonks (might still do). Took little ol derby county to league champs in 1971 and Forest there in 1978. They then won the European Cup in 1979 and 1980. Trademark passing football on the ground (if God ad meant us to play in the clouds. He'd 'av put grass up there). The man was a football genius and ahead of his time. His interviews were legendary

Cloughie was at his best with Peter Taylor at his side, but less so without him.

Worthing's play out from the back seems to suit us as we could press them high up the pitch. We had plenty of chances, while they crested precious few. The irony of Faal hitting the bar and Corne getting our second less than a minute later makes up a bit for what happened in the play off. Did we get lucky with the first goal? Certainly well taken by Seaman. Looked very much like penalty soon after - two on to one in their area yet the ref gave a foul the other way. Arguable we should have taken a couple more chances, but looks a much better performance all round. Bring it home on Saturday, please!

Solid all-round performance from the lads. Pressed well throughout, passed the ball about nicely and generally in control for much of the game. Charlie Seaman MoM for me although Sam Corne wasn't too far behind. We have missed you Sam ! Even the game management for the last 30 minutes looked spot on, making it a comfortable win in the end. Nice day out.

Nice day out. Wish I'd been there! It was looking OK right up until Friday - would have been my FOURTH away win on the trot! And so good to see us beat Worthing after last season's semi...
