Hits and Misses 2024 2025 Prediction table

How about his for sticking your neck out!

Based on just friendlies and reputation alone here is my punt at an early prediction on the possible fate of this years squad.

Andre - MISS - When he leaves to do what he likes doing better - i.e. himself
Holden - MISS - George will get a new (decent) keeper at some point
Eweka - HIT - Looks strong
Brookes - HIT - Also looks promising
Greenidge - MISS (Controversial maybe but I was surprised he was retained and I think he will leave to get regular football elsewhere - Hamlet?)
Brown - MISS - same as Greenidge
Fowler - HIT (Of course)
Kyps - Squad filler who may also have to leave us for regular football at Hornchurch or ANO Essex club
Seaman - HIT - looks promising
Higgs - MISS (I think we may be overrating him........good for Mangels but Stones?)
Krasniqi - early hit, but will fall out with George spectacularly and be a MISS
Corne HIT (Of course!.....but why do I get a weird feeling he may be out injured a lot this year?)
Coulthirst - Early hit but will lose interest and be a MISS
Blair - HIT HIT HIT..........off to Dorking by Christmas
Bentley - HIT and may even get poached by Braintree
Andrade - Early hit but becomes a MISS when his legs (and mind) give out due to Georges punishing training regime
Fonkeu - Loads of promise but no delivery - perma sub MISS who gets sent out on loan
Gurung - Squad filler but happy as a pig in sh1t as he wont get better at any other club
Court - Squad filler who may want regular football and go to Sittingbourne, or Hythe, or Ramsgate
Sam Smith - Unavailable all season due to a world tour

Of course I could be 100% wrong on every single one of them (I hope I am in most cases) but Im glad that according to Kent Online George and Zac F-C are still constantly on the look out as we probably will need to be.

Whats your thoughts?

If Alexis Andre Jnr loses form or gets injured I'm pretty sure that Lenny Holden would be a more than adequate replacement. I think he's got a big future in the game to be playing at this level at 18 and showing the maturity and confidence he's shown in his appearances in the friendlies is commendable

Apart from the few kept on from last year, know very little about any of them. As for pre season friendlies, likewise hard to tell.
What we do know from last season is that George will hope to build a well organised defence that is tighter than a duck's arse. If so we might do ok again.
Good test at St Alban's to start the season, but who knows?

George is always on the look out so this is not going to be his squad for the whole season.
Look at last year.
I would be totally surprised if the whole squad starting the season is the one that finishes it - hence the speculation.

Not negative maybe but some of your assessments are on the harsh side. I think Holden looks a fantastic prospect and hope George gives him a decent crack at it. Even if it’s only cup games to start with.

Haven’t seen Holden but looking forward to it by what you guys are saying about him.
And hoping we have all hits and no misses!

Look at the above and take out my over enthusiasm about Blair and Bentley and over negativity about Greenidge then actually we are playing worse than I predicted - and I was accused of being negative.
I didn’t want to be right!

Its hard to judge the players at the moment because the manager has got it so bloody wrong for 5 games now.
