Albans 0-2 Stones Attendance 1734 Attendance 1737!!! I was only 37 out (1730), but still several beat me to it! This is so hard to predict that I feel there should be more points available - eg 5 for getting it right, then 3, 2 and 1 for the next closest. This is not as self-interested as it sounds - I still wouldn't have got any points today!!

Negatives:-
I thought we gave them too much time on the ball 1st half.Going by post match interview was part of game strategy tho not to press high early while we sussed them out. Has George been taking advise from Southgate?
Two players (Seaman and Higgs) went off injured. Let's hope neither too serious.
The amount of times Blair was caught offside. Either he needs to time those runs better or team need to time passes better?
Positives:-
3 points away at one of the harder places to go in Nat S.
We improved as the game went on and created several chances 2nd half.
Clean sheet.
Two of our academy boys Riley and Sam Smith had great games. ( Apart from one moment in 1st half when Smith lost possession in a dangerous position.
Several of the new boys impressed. Personally was particularly impressed with Benton when he came on. Good energy and great feet on the ball. Alexis impressed me too, particularly his reading of situations and speed off his line a couple of times.
Good number of Stones fans there to see it.
Overall plenty of reasons for optimism. No reason for me to change my mind that we could well be there or thereabouts by the end of the season.

But you're right, Court looks like a really good player - would have been my MotM before Benton came on. And Blair's off-sides were ridiculous, he was so off-side, so often, that he must have known. Waste of a forward if they are always doing that.

Who decided that, in the list of club officials, the manager should be placed sixteenth? Is he really considered to be less important than the assistant groundsman, or is it ranked in the order of job security?

The table at post 1 has been updated following the St Albans game.
So a winning start is always welcome although we had to wait a while for the winner, it means we are already three points up compared to last season. Newcomer geoffrey along with stalwarts garstone and royalstone picked up the full five points for the 0-1 and as mentioned elsewhere aristotle was just three off the official attendance and many others were very close. Most people picked up points but there must have been a brief spell of dysphoria descend upon ME15 at some point as chronologically speaking five posters on the trot predicted a draw or a home win before the away win became the theme again. Perhaps people were unduly influenced by fresh posts?
Anyway, the table is on page 1 and will be updated as we go. Predictions for the home game against Truro are welcome, there is a high probability that I will be able to make this game, so if you find yourself stood next to some bloke with a weird Yorkshire/Kentish blended accent please be kind!
