Well what a weekend that was. Just one goal over the bank holiday weekend has left any goal addicts facing cold turkey as the Stones turn their attention to Boredom Wood and a probable addition to the pressure facing poor George. Six months ago he was being celebrated as a breath of fresh air in the football world, how short some memories are.

Anyway, what did the weekend mean to regular readers of this column? Well there were mercurial rises from the lower reaches for Raymondo316 and stewjm - the former hitting the top spot for the first time since winning the inaugural competition as memory serves. Eight others picked up points for predicting the WLD aspect as well, so a good spread of points overall.

In a rare display of positive karma for nws, following the routine grousing about missing out on the attendance by five or so in successive games and going unrewarded, some stay-aways on Monday meant that he picked up two points for the attendance at the WSM game. Pigbag was similarly rewarded for vanquishing the said nws by one for the Chips attendance...

Tonight is the aforementioned trip to Boredom Wood who let's not forget know the value of a £. A club that manages to sustain itself on meagre crowds that hopefully is going to find - and stick to - it's level below the NL. That said, if recent performances are anything to go by they'll pick up points tonight and be challenging the top of the table.

I'm going for a 2-1 defeat for the Stones in front of a season high (for BW) 768. Hopefully I'm wrong and Stones will pick something up.
