This one is hard to take. After a slow start, we grew into the game and were easily the better team in the second half. Didn't take our chances though and got hit by a sucker punch, made all the worse by missing a sitter a minute earlier.
Worthing can move the ball around really well, but would drive me nuts if they were my team and if they do get promoted could get eaten for breakfast next season.
However, good luck to them, they rode their luck and would rather it was them than Braintree.

We dominated the second half...
and then we lost.
One stupid mistake at the back and all the effort and work was lost.
Mind you, 2nd prize is another season in the NS, so that's ok. In fact I'm quite looking forward to it.
But without Wanjau-Smith.

Think we had all begun to believe the hype. Best take a step back and let the dust settle for a while.
It’s been a fantastic season. The cup run and making the play offs were a great achievement. Life goes on.

Just when I thought I'd been around and seen enough that football couldn't hurt me that much that one felt like a real kick in the nuts!
The longer the game went on the stronger we grew then ...
If anyone can spin it into a positive George can.Hopefully he can use today as motivation to win the league next season.

Funny old game.
Worthing deserved their goal lead but after our equaliser we looked much more likely to win it.
Wasn't to be sadly.
The season has finished a week early.
Thanks for the memories George, its been quite a journey.

The result could so easily have been different but well done Worthing and good luck in the Final.
We are blessed with such a strong management team that drives the players to be their best.
It will be a hard season to beat especially with the likes of Dorking and Boring Wood around.
But much to look forward to again.

Really gutted today.
Feel I’ve seen us play worse and win this season, stings even more with that golden opportunity 30 seconds before.
Not going to dig out anyone in particular but there’s some players that, based on today alone, I don’t want to see here next season. But no point slagging anyone off because the effort levels were absolutely there today just wasn’t meant to be.
As others have said if Worthing do go up you suspect they’ll ship a hell of a lot of goals and come crashing back down. Staff at the ground were all friendly but it’s nowhere near up to the required standard. Really poor setup all round.
Glad we’ve got George signed up for next season, could see that one really hurt.

Another thing to consider is losing today may have cost us around 80k. As I'm sure the final would have been a sellout.
