In which case it will rule out the Spanish Wizard, our very own Joan Luque, who has been released from Worthing.[
Joan is also quoted as saying that 3G doesn't suit his dodgy knee.

I'm surprised so many were let go as I think most were good enough for NLS. However, I think the 'new' attitude is that if you have an injury that keeps you out for more than a few games, then you're unlikely to be kept on. I thought Raphe Brown had been offered a new contract and he missed plenty of matches.

Same a the podcast 3 which was also just one or two people commenting,

Raphe made 36 appearances in the league this season which is a pretty solid return. Definitely the season he was most available for selection since being with us. Thought he was really good in that run of games towards the end of the season so pleased to see he’s been offered a new deal.

Talk about getting ahead or ourselves. With only 2 signings confirmed, getting a squad to compete in the NLS is proving problematical. Really? We’re still in May. Some league’s seasons haven’t even finished yet. Far too early to start worrying.

Fair enough. I know its how you finish that matters more than how you start. I'm hanging onto that thought as we've had a slow start. One internal contract and one external contract after nearly 3 weeks. Some good players have already been snapped up by other clubs. People don't like to be reminded about Dorking Wanderers who in my book will be favourites to win NLS. Their squad is nearly sorted.

But we always leave it late Harry. Personally I would have hoped the cup run would have attracted the better players sooner but those days are long gone. It’s all about the money and as a rightly sensible club staying within its means that’s not something we have a lot of. Unlike the Dorkings of this world.

But surely there can be no great advantage is leaving signings late. In demand players are being snapped up in the meantime. Even last season's 'retentions' are taking their time to decide whether they want to stay. No need to worry ? Maybe this week-end, we will get some good news.

I guess 1 slight advantage could be that last minute means players are desperate so could take slightly less wages ? or risk starting the season with no club. At this moment in time, they are holding out for higher wages.

Leaving it late means less time to get the team playing well as a unit. Quality keeper and 20 goal striker aside, functioning well as a team can be every bit as important as having star players, while fitness comes into that too. Therefore, hope we don't go too 'last minute' in building a new squad.

The clue is going to be hard to make sense of if you can't find the question.
