What is George playing at - signing players so early in the Summer?! At this rate the George-haters will have nothing to moan about... In fairness i dont think there are many, if any, haters on this forum. |

Well, Jay Saunders says he is gutted to lose him. Also admits that the player is going to a full time club and he can't compete with the wages on offer. Could this 'money-bags' club be Stones ? Surely not. |

I only saw him play twice and can’t remember him at all. Good goal obviously!
I find it hard to know. You’d hope he has been properly scouted. Only rarely does an opposition player jump out as clearly class.
He was their POTY though so must be half decent

I suppose the reality is that George is assembling a squad, not picking 'stars'. So he will be mostly going for players he thinks will do the job and fit in - and, of course, are within his budget restraints.
So, few of our new players will be headline buys. The sort of players fans will get excited about are going to go to clubs with money.
But, given George's track record, there's a good chance that a few of his buys will turn out to be something special.
