George has signed a new deal to remain at the club for two more seasons after this one.
I hope he can carry on the good work. I can see a lot of players wanting to come and play here and hopefully he can learn and become a great manager for us.
This is the type of long term appointment that will aid us in going up and staying up within our means.
I don't think he is the finished article and understandably so but I know he is a great man and it will be nice to be on this journey with him for a few more years.

Good news, I'm surprised he has signed a 2 year extension. Maybe he knows he will havbe a bit more money available in the near future so is happy to commit

Really good news for the stability it gives if nothing else. I think he’s done a great job when you think about how bereft of any positivity the club was when he came in.
Think it’s a show of ambition on the clubs part, I can’t imagine he is particularly cheap after the cup run and becoming somewhat of a media darling. And it’s a show of loyalty from George’s behalf. You still imagine he’ll go on to manage higher than us but this protects the club from him being poached in the summer; and if he does go before the end of his contract it would mean he’s done a really good job with us. Really positive for the club in my opinion and all the ash out morons can hopefully shut up as this shows the ‘ambition’ they want (I think, honestly no clue what goes through their heads).
Finish the season strong and build on the solid core we already have in the summer. UTS

I think that this is excellent news. We probably could not have expected any more. I think that it shows both George's commitment and his humility. I assume that he and the owners have discussed ideas for the future and that George sees potential for both the club and himself.

Even the facebook group now seem to have warmed to George, at least most of them.

It appears that George has saved his bacon with a half decent FA cup run.
But 9th in the league table doesn't lie, the team needs to do better.

Teams form takes slight dip when progressing further in cup competition. Shock horror. The cup run has done more for the club than being a few places higher in the table at this stage ever could. Get a grip, mate.

Expectations are so much higher.
Need to win the FA cup next season to keep the George Haters on facebook at bay.

Excellent news! Especially for another two years. I was pretty sure we were going to lose him at the end of the season.
Definitely a bonus to the club, not only an excellent manager (playoffs and 5th round of the FAC in his first season!), but I'm sure plenty of players we wouldn't normally attract will want to come and play for him. Perhaps we can hang on to Covolan as well??
A win tonight as well and I shall be a very happy bunny!

Excellent news but I'll bet that there is a buyout clause.

Probably a clause allowing him to go if Wolves want him
