If there aren't 20 worse teams than Les Blancs and Harry Wheeler's boys quite possibly! One month ago I would have said Dover were doomed,in fact it was nailed on. The two Dover and Stones games will be massive, see you at Crabble and the Gallagher. Not too sure on your maths, POK, because twenty WORSE teams would put us in the top four ??! 😮 That's Dover schooling for you!

It seems to be a bit of a split between posters on here though? Does it not? But I will thank Harry for Stuart Lewis - one word Immense I'll give Harry his due on this one, it wasn't him who actually wanted rid of Lewis. It was one of your lot who tapped him up and he suddenly requested a move. I can quite believe that. I was under the impression that he was unsettled as soon as Jay Saunders left. I'm sure he will be the pro he is in the coming games with you, he did after all have some great years with you. One thing a member on here stated was that Jay Saunders was a victim of his own success. That sums it up perfectly.

I honestly do enjoy the rivalry between us and at the end of the day it would be nice to see us both stay up. Have you seen the North/South divide these days?!! Anyway, good luck and as I say I look forward to the Christmas and New year games

Really? Then why are we so holier than thou about clubs like Billerricay, Ebbsfleet, and Dover. If what you say is true, we're no different. We are very different. We have a sustainable business model...good crowds (revenue)..other income (3g). Dover had fewer than 1000 yesterday and are full-time. When Jim leaves ....oh dear Dover fan here, I've been reading with interest how your and of course our season has been panning out.. You are of course correct in pointing out that we had under an under 1000 gate yesterday. I would go as far to say that for a wet Saturday afternoon that wasn't actually too bad. Believe me, if Chris Kinnear was still at the helm we would have struggled to get a gate of 800. Traditionally we never have been a well supported club - be it geography, the armchair fans or our location to France perhaps we will never know? I will however say one thing Jim Parmenter made the right choice in appointing an experienced manager in Andy Hessenthaler. Yes he and his fellow directors have pumped a serious amount of their personal funds into Dover becoming a full time outfit. Dover fans are under no illusion in the fact that gates are not funding this investment. But the most important thing is that we maintain our National League status, I'm sure the same applies to Stones fans? No matter how gutty being at the foot of the table may be? We all have a rivalry amongst the Kent clubs but surely we want to be playing these local derbies for years to come? In my opinion, and it is only that, your chairmen made a big mistake in appoint Wheeler-Dealer. It was a rash decision and an experienced National League/EFL manager was what was needed, but you don't need me to tell you that. So please don't tell me if Mr Parmenter leaves it's oh dear because the same applies to nearly all non league clubs across the land, they are funded by men and women who will never likely see a return on their investment. It's all about making the correct decision and we are only human after all. Good luck with the rest of the season See you boxing day and New year's day and hopefully the next

Dover fan in peace! First time of visiting the Gallagher stadium yesterday. First impressions were good - friendly security at the gate, a decent tea hut with a friendly couple serving and a nice touch with the bar serving beer behind the stand.
I attended the game with my young son and we had been looking forward to his first ever away game for new year's day. Sadly there were a minority of idiots amongst both sets of fans. If I could have chosen a seat to sit with my boy I certainly would have ( was seating available for away fans?), it would have kept my young boys ears from the embarrassment of the yobs and their crude songs as mentioned towards the girl! And the chant about the stones and the IRA?! Seriously wtf!! I did witness people on both sides goading each other from the minute we arrived, it's not exclusive to Dover fans I'm afraid. Boys that think they're all tough in their Burberry and Stone Island! On the pitch I thought you played the better football and were undone by two great goals. God Dover are ugly to watch under Kinnear but it is effective at times! Good luck with the rest of your season, it's good to have Kent teams coming up the leagues. Enough from me on the moronic few - they don't deserve the space.
