Well it was in his hands, both of them. That's enough for me. Poor ref decision imo The only way the ref was ever gonna give that was if the keeper rolled around clutching his hands. One of those decisions you need to earn with a bit of play acting.

One of those decisions you need to earn with a bit of play acting. Yeah exactly that. Which is why the play acting unfortunately a place in football because it gains you an advantage. Diving etc will always be part of football until the fa decide to heavily punish it with video reviews.

I get it to a point BUT the ball was safely grounded and the keeper had both hands on it. Only very briefly before Levi kicked it, but surely that's all that matters. Lucky for us the ref didn't see it that way.

Lucky for us the ref didn't see it that way. The point I was making was that in my personal experience, all be it at a lower level, refs very rarely favour the keeper in those situations.

Terrible bit of play so serves them right. Would not expect any favours if it happened to us.

How is the ref supposed to spot something that we could only see with the benefit of slow motion replay? At first sight (normal speed) I saw what SL saw - a loose ball.
Anyway, it cancels out Sol's penalty the other day. Win some, lose some.

Wasn’t Johnson the Cheltenham manager when we turned them over a few years ago? Shame….

Having seen the highlights I now think the first goal was legit. The keeper had hands on top of the ball but it was on the ground and not under control

Whilst we are still on about Torquay en coupe, Our last home win in the cup was in November 2019, a 1st Round match, against, er, Torquay Utd! [Can we play you every week?] Since when we have been in the hat 10 times resulting in being drawn away from home 9 times, including each of the last 5 - the 4 this season + Needham Market last year. [Dartford was the home defeat - but at least we won the league match a few weeks later]
For those feeling aggrieved from all those outlying ties, prior to that (& following our defeat at Blackpool - our reward for beating Torquay in that 2019 game) we did enjoy 7 consecutive home draws (all won bar the R2 loss to the Oldham Ath in 2018/19)
Our record home sequence is 9 home ties (lower case being an away replay): 1902/03 3Q (Woodford: W), 4Q (New Brompton: L) 1903/04 EP (Folkestone: Dw), P (Sheppey Utd: W), 1Q (Sittingbourne: W), 2Q (Ashford Utd: L) 1904/05 P (Chatham: W), 1Q (Eltham: W), 2Q (Sheppey Utd: L)
Our record away sequence stands at 7 (upper case home, lower away): 1983/84 R3 (Darlington: l) 1984/85 4Q (Bishop's Stortford: l) 1985/86 4Q (Bromley: w), R1 (Fareham Town: w), R2 (Plymouth Argyle: l) 1986/87 4Q (Southwick: dDDw), R1 (Welling Utd: dW)

Having seen the highlights I now think the first goal was legit. The keeper had hands on top of the ball but it was on the ground and not under control Yes the ball was on the ground and he had both hands on it. It wasn't spinning, moving or about to leap upward, sideways or anywhere else. Of course he had control of the ball before Levi kicked it. Not legit imo.
