After half time that was that. No real plan, certainly no plan B. I think we might need to accept a mediocre season this time. Certainly a reality check. I was never carried away after 1 unconvincing win,

A day for seeking crumbs of comfort elsewhere? Fleet lost, as did Slough (to Dover). And Worthing top the league - anything to do with Luque? Luque played the last 14 minutes.

Don’t forget though we’re a better team now without Jerome & Luque ……Absolute joke ! I think you’re putting words in peoples mouths. Dulwich had a good draw with Hashtag and JBW played.

And nearly scored in his first minute on the pitch in a mediocre scraped through 3-0 away win for Worthing which emapoentky could have been 5-0at little old nothing team Torquay United whilst we are losing cluelessly at Barff. Mmmmmmmm.

I was there today. There were positives. We had more of the play before the first goal. The problem is the final third - we never seriously troubled the keeper. Then they scored. Then they scored again (shocking) and the game changed. If we had scored the penalty, or the subsequent header from Sol, brilliantly saved by their keeper, then things might have been different.
But we looked a different team in the second half. And so did Bath. The hassled and harried us on every ball, and sadly most of our players don't possess the ball control to deal with that. So we never looked like scoring. Their third was inevitable.
But considering this is the second competitive game for our guys, there is some hope. Not enough for promotion, or probably not even play-offs though. I think we need to reset our expectations for this year. Top 10 will be good and set us up for next year, contracts permitting.
Our best player for me for Chi Ezzenolim, on the left. He looked genuinely threatening. I/m really not sure about Levi. He has an Alabi look about him.

Sounds sobering. No need to reset expectations- this is what was expected. Apart from the only ifs but the rest sounds a lot like a description of every NL game under George. Let’s hope it’s a blip or top ten could be a challenge.

GE's record since he assembled his own team: won 1, lost 1.
Pretty average for the first two games of a new season, with a team that is still settling in, and is probably still under construction.
Anyone who's knows anything about the current NS would never have expected us to do well at Bath two games in. A disappointing result, yes, especially with the lack of goals and the defensive errors, but still some way from relegation!
There's a lot of people on here who really need to take a serious look at themselves.

The rest of August could become frustrating if yesterday is anything to go by. The KM clearly didn't send a reporter and can't find anything about the match other than here. Nothing on the club website either. Don't find the post match interview very enlightening, because the interviewer feeds George all the answers and he fills in with comments I could make up without seeing the game: early season, lack of concentration etc. Stonestv highlights the only option it seems.

I wonder if they could ever upload full matches instead of just highlights. Would be nice to see full games instead of the selected bits.

This thread is confusing. One person is suggesting we are probably mid-table, while Dave U, who has us as potential champs, lines up against others who have us as nailed on relegation. Which is it?

Well having conceded 4 in 2 games we are on course to concede 92 goals so we'll be nearer the bottom than the top,of course a few clean sheets🤣 will change the prediction. Nothing is decided after 2 games apart from Celtic winning the SPL(Scottish pub league).

Having watched both highlights (ours are better), on another day, Sol could have had a hat trick. However, he didn't and our defence was found wanting on at least three occasions. Their first came from a decent cross, but one that arguably should have been cut out by two or three players, leaving Hoyte well beaten at the far post. Hoyte caught out again for their second and then the defence was asleep for their third. Shit happens, but we won't know until our next home game whether we are all round poor, with Slough even worse or indeed Bath are promotion material.
