Am wondering if Bromley are in charge of the NLTV camera. We get replays for everything they do and little for the Stones. Our first goal, our offside goal, their sending off - all ignored.

Was really starting to think we might get something from this game. And then we f**k it up again. No effort spared - thought we deserved to be level and then they have a red card, giving us a real chance to get the winner. Instead, w blow it and even manage to have a red of our own. The sooner this sorry season ends, the better. We seem cursed.

Proper dick punch . We deserve sms a draw. We have improved to being narrowly beaten every week now.
Hadler will be annoyed

Just when you think we might have run out of ways to lose a football match. FFS.

We can't keep giving away soft goals. All three were preventable. Having said that we played some nice stuff at times and Bromley should have been down to 10 for most of the game. How the elbow in Sol's face wasn't a straight red I just can't understand, not even a free kick. No question about Brown's straight red, so another defensive reshuffle for three games. It's not surprising we're so poor defensively when we have never played the same back four two games running. On the bright side, when we did get the ball down and play we looked pretty good going forward.

Good summary Dave - add the disallowed goal and some truly bizzare ref decisions offsides corners that were goal kicks and vice versa and the infantile Genco high school kids more interested in winding up visiting fans than actually having any interest in the game and it sure was a fun packed night!

If there’s one thing George understands it’s robust defence. I’m sure none of his teams ever conceded 86 goals in a season. There must be better recruitment this summer. And a clear out of the goalkeepers. Got to laugh at all the anger and energy expended on this forum for one player, who if only he played we would be doing so much better.

Looking at the highlights, it is possible we could have lost by quite a few as Bromley wasted some pretty good chances and there were several decent last ditch challenges. However, our defensive organisation is often all over the place, especially on counter attacks. We don't respond well to rebounds, loose balls and the like either. A lot of strange refereeing decisions though. Should Sol have got a penalty early on? Seen them given, more often than not. Seemed to be several goal kicks given as corners - all to Bromley. Their sending off looks harsh mind, while unless Brown's was studs up, he certainly wasn't the last man. Oh well. All three of their goals came in the closing minutes of each half, while Stoneslive commentary, sounding very frustrated at times (never heard Jesus H Christ used on air like that), talked about the number of points we have dropped having taken the lead, lost in injury time, etc, etc. Easily enough for us to be mid table anyway. George may have got the players happy, but they seem unable to concentrate and switch off at vital moments, every game. They work hard, but ultimately, knowing you are relegated and been outclassed all season has taken its toll. Boring Wood next, who have only scored about the same number of goals as us this season. Only let in half as many though, which is why we are where we are.

I thought it was quite a good performance. Bromley were probably a better team, and at times they stepped up a gear and looked a far better team, but we stuck with it and 2-2 would probably have been a fair result all things considered.
As others have said, however, we make mistakes that cost goals and the back three-five never looks very comfortable.
I think there's a number who could/ have done a job in the NLS but we are in desperate need of some quality/ experience through the middle, particularly as I doubt Booty will be here next season.

I'm pretty much done this season with the stones after last night, very hard to take at the end despite it being the best they've played in a while IMO but Bromley were always going to punish us somewhere down the line, every team knows us from top to bottom and it's the management that keeps making the same mistakes over and over and over. Subs poor, no ace in the hole, defence melts when under the slightest bit of pressure and when the opposition have possession we don't have the correct shape to deal with it. GE is not the right man for the Stones he doesn't have what it takes I've seen enough games of his now to realize he's conning the fans and his interviews are getting boring, even Hakan wasn't this deluded. The owners really think this was a good appointment for next season, were see when half the main stand decline on renewing in the summer...

14 more against in the last 6 games? Going to be close.
By the way, according to FWP's points to stay up est - we are down.
But, I suspect we will be by 5pm Saturday anyway...
Playing like we have this season, how the hell has it taken us this long NOT to be technically relegated?! I guees it just shows that we're not the only crap team in the NL this season.
