People seem unimpressed that Dorking currently have 2 of the three NS top scorers from last season. I'd be elated to have one of them! Goals win games, and if Jack / Luque don't start strong we'll struggle. Bettamer rumoured to be coming in certainly doesn't seem to be the answer... I will be surprised if Luque starts strong bearing in mind he has an operation on his knee!! Don't expect to see Luque before Christmas, his operation is scheduled for Tuesday according to his tweet on Friday

Predictions for 2022/23 season.
Wrexham have served their time and to win the league. Solihull and Halifax to fall away and be replaced by Southend and Dorking (whose ground and pitch will be an issue). Newcomers York and Maidstone to finish comfortably top half. Would be amazed if one from Oldham and Scunthorpe isn’t relegated or bankrupted. Wealdstone and Eastleigh to struggle.

If I was Hak, I'd sign Pattison up but tell him he needs to be best friends with a bag of footballs this summer. The guy has absolutely everything: pace, strength, movement, great feet, etc but couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo last season. If he could finish even 50% of his chances he had he'd walk into our side. Bit harsh that. On target more often than not. Nearly always worked the keeper or hit the frame of the goal (ok I know that's technically off target) and pretty unlucky in my opinion not to score a few more. Plus which of course he's provided some pretty important assists. But not harsh imo. 2 goals over the whole season Remember the goal drought before JB played and who was the lead striker early on last season. If there was a way not to score goals then Christie would find a way. The opposite to Jack Barham in fact. Having said that I like Christie too and hope that Hak signs him up again. If only he could score goals he would be some player.

I thought he imporoved a lot towards the end of the season, as he became our super-sub - he stopped trying to score and started feeding balls in instead. I'd certainly keep him - a cracking sub (puts the shits up the opposition with his pace late in the game), and a prety decent standby starter. And now he's stopped trying to score, paradoxically, I think we'll see a few goals from him as well.

Don't expect to see Luque before Christmas, his operation is scheduled for Tuesday according to his tweet on Friday He is having an Op to repair his ACL. Recovery time for that is between 6 and 12 mths. I doubt we will see him back before March 23, so we need someone else (Sol ?) to score / create our goals!

Key dates. Should have thought twice before booking that August holiday.

I'm a massive Pattison fan and if he left we'd be losing an incredible player (as per the points in my last post). If he could add finishing to his game, he'd easily be one of our better players.

The point I was making was regarding the cows arse/banjo comment which implies he couldn't hit the target. My recollection is that he was on target more often than not and nearly always worked the keeper. So yes it was a bit harsh.

The guy didn't convert his opportunities, that's all I'm saying.
