Can anyone confirm that he has been/is allowed to attend the house of commons ?
Publicly available material - especially on the parliament website - in conjunction with the police's criteria and the government undertaking that the man would not attend Parliament mean there are only 4 possibilities.
Three ex-ministers in their fifties have been eligible for a proxy vote since Parliament returned: George Freeman, Mel Stride and Mark Francois. A fourth, Liam Fox, has not voted at all. These are the only people who meet the police's criteria who have also failed to attend Parliament.
Freeman and Stride have been active on social media before and since early August. Their social media suggests they are still engaging in constituency and remote Parliamentary work.
Mark Francois has deleted his twitter account and not updated Facebook since late July. He does not even seem to be policing the posts on there. It is full of comments dating back to early August referring to the 'ex-Minister', 'AWOL', 'sex scandal', 'rapist' etc. He has not commented on any issue publicly during this time including matters close to his heart like the 75th anniversary of VJ Day and the Internal Markets Bill.
Liam Fox is flying around the world seeking high office with the World Health Organisation. If he was on bail then it is surprising he has not been required to give in his passport to police. This is a fairly standard condition especially for serious matters where the individual has the means to flee the country. It seems unlikely the government would support the candidature of a person on bail for sex offences.
It must be one of these 4 individuals unless the police lied or the MP is attending Parliament and is voting in person. If the latter is the case, or it is high profile office=seeking Liam Fox, then it is extremely surprising someone hasn't used Parliamentary privilege to out him.
Unlikely to be one of those mentioned given the victim allegedly *isn't his type.*
