The crazy thing is some players who don't look all that in Non-League can, when surrounded by better players at a higher level, suddenly transform into different players if they get a chance at a higher level. I thought Mr Sweeney was hit and miss for us but clearly he was in this category to get the games he did for Barnet, and Ross Marshall may well turn out to be one of those. Stranger things have happened! Many on here were also critical of a certain Mr Piggott, who they would now take back with open arms. Yes. They were just radio rental.

It is a strange video, as you say somebody has spent hours trawling through Stones Live footage to pick out a few snippets of action that make it look like he is a superstar. Not everyone will agree with my assessment of Ross as a player but surely nobody can think that one minute or so of film represents his true talents. The thing with Sweeney was that unless you actually concentrated on him during a game you didn't always appreciate what he brought to the team. He was like a pivot in midfield, linking the defence with the rest of the team. It was amazing how many moves he was involved in, even if it was only a single pass, and he very rarely lost the ball.

Anyone who came on here moaning about Pigott when he was playing for us obviously knows nothing about football, the guy was always quality.

Indeed, the fact that the NL neanderthal defenders fouled him from start to finish of every game said much for his character as well as his quality.

I wasn't comparing the players, i was merely highlighting the fact that a number of our fans were critical of Piggott saying he was crap the same with Sweeney, ross wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but there were things that he did which a team in league 1 with a good coach could mould him into a decent player. Oh and there were plenty on here who were critical of Piggott

When did Elle Mcpherson work in the Parkwood Tavern? Gutted I missed that! She didn't. It was Christie Brinkley and she only worked Thursday lunchtimes picking up the empties
