Only two of today's games can have any impact on us - Dartford v Oxford City and HH Town v H&W.
Wins for both Oxford and HH Town, would see us down to 11th, but might actually be the best results for us.
If we're serious about a decent finish to this season, the play-offs are our minimum aim (even if we don't expect/want to go up), so we really need to be looking up the table, rather than worrying about the teams around us. Dartford losing today could mean us, instead of them, in the play-offs by the end of Tuesday evening.

Dartford on a run of 5 wins - with 4 clean sheets! Goals for 16, against 2.
Goal scorers: McQueen 7 (5P), Romaine 5, Berkeley-Agyepong 2, Wanadio 1, Sherringham 1
And a heartbreaker for Bath today - first goal, a pen dead on 45, second goal, 10 minutes into first-half extra time!, then the killer just 13 minutes into the second half.
Can they continue this run? They're away to Slough next, and then home to Hamlet.
And, of course, away to us in some minor Cup I've forgotten the name of. It will be interesting to see what teams both sides put out - rest the important players because it's only the Pointless Cup, or go for the win because it's them/us?

Well Herne Bay were poor today and lost to an utter fluke of a goal in the second half. I didnt get the crowd to make JDL preen his feathers. It looked about 300 including some drummers from Burgess Hill

Yesterday I was at Ashford v Faversham. The programme had Ashford's team of the decade since they reformed. Which means they regard 2011 - 2019 as a decade... Anyway, amongst the eleven (voted for by the fans on their Facebook page)were Sam Corne, Rory Hill, and Shaun Welford, with Michael Phillips on the virtual bench (wot, no Danny Lye!). So Corne is the only one who has moved up to us since Ashford Town were in the Southern League, and we pinched the likes of Dave Crush and Alan Morton. Probably.

I applaud you for going to Ashford whereas I hope never to see the place again I still have deep rooted scars from our time there.
