If they are the best of that game, then I feel very sorry for anyone who attended. Who dragged whom down to their level, or were both teams simpy awful? No need to answer...

The good times just keep rolling in the KSC. youtu.be/6AEikBq8WnABringing a drum for 337 fans is the very epitome of non league tinpot.

Hard to see why Knight was sent off. Maybe an elbow, may the ref was conned. Perhaps the worst thing about this KSC cup match was, apart from the ref, it was Dartford again. When you play the same team umpteen times in a few weeks, stalemate can be the result and it certainly looked stale. Fresh start Saturday, so maybe we get a H&W performance after a couple of lame ones?

From the MS (ie almost as far away as you can get!) it looked like the ref making up for ealier mistakes.
Their no 9 was a pain, constantly falling over whenever anyone so much as looked at him, and the ref was fooled every time. Then, just before the Knight booking, he was clattered a couple of times by George. That was actually on our side of the pitch and did actually look fairly deliberate, especially the second one, but George got away with it.
The second clattering led to handbags, with the ref just adding to the confusion, and most of the players getting involved. Then, shortly after play restarted, Knight brought their no 9 (again!) down - or he just fell over, and off he went. I couldn't see anything wrong with the tackle at the time, nor can I on the highlights, so I suspect it was just the ref's way of evening things up, thinking that's he'd cocked up earlier*. Maybe he didn't immediately realise he'd already booked Knight - although the red was pretty quick, so it looked like he knew.
*Refs always deny they do this, but I've spoken to enough ex-refs to know that they do.
Caveat - I was so f**king COLD by this point in the game, that some, or all, of the above may be bollocks.

He missed the beginning of the incident where their no 6 mowed down Amaluzor, just after the restart, but it clearly happened outside the penalty area (although Amaluzor did his best to roll into the area and feign serious injury!). But, as far as you can tell from this video, Amaluzor would have been through, 1 on 1 with the goalie, so that was a clear goal-scoring chance, so surely that should have been a straight red?

Not a bad video. The goal is about 18:50.

For 70 minutes the game was was fast flowing and entertaining with both sides looking to get forward at every opportunity. Once we scored Oxford inexplicably gave up,or seemed to and from then it was just a matter of if we could get a second goal. As I have said elsewhere there was no shortage of effort just not much skill and many times we could have shot from 18-20 yards out but instead we just kept passing it until the attack petered out. St Albans was a 2/10 performance but yesterday was a 7/10 day. This will mean nothing though if we dont put the same effort in against the Mangles on Tuesday, weather permitting.
