Sounds like the whole game was like the first half on Saturday. When keep our shape we can shithouse games like these. Just needs concentration and a bit of luck. Let's face it, Dartford are nothing special (neither are we), so maybe a bit of self belief for Sunday has been created? Presumably only Dartford 4 (KSC, no replay please) and Dartford 5 ( return league match) left for the season now? Wonder what the record is, not counting friendlies, for the most games between two clubs in a season?

... Wonder what the record is, not counting friendlies, for the most games between two clubs in a season? The Isles of Scilly League has been reduced to just two teams who play each other 20 times plus two cup competitions. They do play each other every week !!!

I wonder if the players swap sides during the season with loan spells !?! ...

What was the disgraceful behaviour from the Dartford bench, referred to by JS?

Google has a link to a kentonline story about Still slamming King but the article has been withdrawn. Anyone know what that was about? It was only published around 8am today.

My half time comment last night was that it was better than the first half there in the League, when I thought both sides were very poor. Not much better though.
Dartford had more possession and passed it better than us throughout the evening. After Saturday's game I praised Elliot Romain because he was all over our defence, even 'bullying' George. Last night I didn't really notice him, or any other of their forwards.
A lot of huff and puff from Dartford. A lot of corners and crosses but only one or possibly two clear chances in front of goal.
Did I think we'd hold on to win? No. Especially not after Edwards had to go off leaving us down to 10 men and no one up the field.
Did we deserve to win? Probably not. Did Dartford? No.

At home to Concord on the 14th it is. I think Dartford deserve a fair bit of credit as they’ve been hampered by injuries so with the side they have put out last 3 occasions and caused us trouble is commendable. Wanadio looks fairly lively, probably an upgrade on Kyei.

Prize money doesn't compare with the FA Cup but £3,750 for last night's win. Every little helps the Club...
Third round qualifying: Winners receive £3,750, losers receive £1,250 First round: Winners receive £4,500, losers receive £1,500 Second round: Winners receive £5,250, losers receive £1,750 Third round: Winners receive £6,000, losers receive £2,000 Fourth round: Winners receive £7,500, losers receive £2,500 Semi-Final: Winners receive £15,000, losers receive £5,000 Final runners-up: £30,000 Final winners: £60,000

Try this for Bury and Stoke City: A Div 2 double header 25 & 27/12/1954; FA Cup 3rd round games (went to 4th replay) 8,12,17,19,24/1/1955 So 7 meetings in a month.

Even though the gate will be down compared to a league game it will still bring in a four-figure sum. Same rules as the FA Cup regarding the gate. The FA gets 10%, the remainder (after expenses) is split between the two clubs. Expenses include for the home team, officials expenses, the cost of stewarding, policing etc., and for the away team, the cost of travel and accommodation.
