Great interview.
Impressive man, a leader by deed and character. Self confident, yet humble, eloquent, good humoured with a streak of steel. I really like his commitment to winning trophies and getting promoted. He certainly didn't join the Stones to finish in the top half.

Trouble is he is currently, with Ryan and Jake (Cole) the only such diamonds in the rough. We need a George in Midfield and up front as well!

Its 3 o clock in the morning A distant dog howls at the moon But the thick grey clouds envelope it Though it will shine again quite soon A man comes walking up the road He stops near a transit van With one arm he leans upon it As he slurps drink from a can When the can is empty He finds the nearest bin He lifts up the plastic lid And throws the used can in There are six bins there upon the verge Parked there on the grass The stranger slides between them And sits down on his arse He makes himself quite comfortable As he sits there in the rain A tourniquet on his left arm And a needle in his vein He sits there with his eyes closed He has nothing to fear Ashe ascends to his happy place A million miles from here. A wily fox comes walking by He stops, begins to stare But the crumpled stranger has no food So foxy doesnt care And then a blue flashing light Fills the dark night sky A copper is responding to An incident nearby An obscenely ugly Tom cat Who has just turned her last trick Was walking down the cobbled street As her high heels clack and click She felt a massive thumping pain As she began to fall She'd been smacked upon the head By a f**king hard football The witness told the copper It gave her one almighty clout And I f**king near pissed myself When her teeth came flying out I really shouldn't laugh though As a blow like that could kill And I'm sure that ball is the one George cleared at Champion Hill I was there that night he said As the ball flew past the moon And everybody there knew We'd not see it again too soon It looped the loop an asteroid Of enormous girth Before the gravitational force Brought it back to Earth The Tom she lay there slightly dazed As she landed in a puddle Her makeup totally ruined And her mind all of a muddle Its 3.31 in the morning And my junkie friend is stirring Totally oblivious to The things that are occurring He stands up rather gingerly Unsteady on his feet And sets off heading eastbound To find another street I close my bedroom curtains To shutter out the dark And away in the distance I can hear that doggy bark As I lay upon my bed A teardrop starts to well As I drift off to the madness That is my own private hell Its 4 o clock in the morning But I no longer weep As my insomnia at last gives way And I finally fall asleep

The team is still work in progress, but with George as the foundation, we have a decent chance to develop.

Great interview with a great man. Interesting that George mentions playing with Matt Jarvis during his time with Wolves. He last played at Walsall on loan last season and is currently without a club having been released from Norwich in the summer. Has suffered injury problems but a quick look at his twitter shows that he's very much looking for a club. Lots of questions to answer but surely worth a punt if finances allow, would be a great addition to the squad and would help the younger ones develop.
