The point is, there are plenty who would go to Kings Langley away who probably won't even consider attending the home tie. After all, we only had 1200 on Saturday and we'll likely have the same in the next round. So to those who won't go because it's at home, it's hard to draw any other conclusion than that groundhopping is more important than supporting the team. Talk about double standards, you say this on the previous page It's not about being lazy, it's about not having the luxury of the vast amounts of free time that some of you seem to manage. Well that’s how I feel about home games, I don’t have vast amounts of free time that you have to go to all the home games Completely missing the point. I was referring to people who could easily make the home game but won't because it's a boring FA Cup tie, but would happily travel to the same tie away because it's somehow more interesting.

If the team that played hitchen turns up I can see the banana skins making an appearance Then whoever threw them will be banned from the Gallagher for life!

Not necessarily more interesting i find a large proportion of our home crowd would rather heap more pressure on get on the players back from the get go where away from home it is a better atmosphere (mainly, maybe Bromley, dover Aways not so much but further afield much more fun supporting the stones). Whilst supporting the stones is the number one priority what is wrong with hoping to get drawn against a team we've not met before or are at a newer ground than we met last time. As sword says it's not just about the ground, you go to the local area talk to the home fans, i stood with some Dorking fans at our game there decent bunch, wouldn't get that opportunity at the home game.

So was your point about supporting the team while ground hopping. It's just different wants according to lifestyle. If we make it to the first round that could bring in the likes of Sunderland couldn't it? The point is, there are plenty who would go to Kings Langley away who probably won't even consider attending the home tie. After all, we only had 1200 on Saturday and we'll likely have the same in the next round. So to those who won't go because it's at home, it's hard to draw any other conclusion than that groundhopping is more important than supporting the team. Others may draw the conclusion that those that will only go to home or near to home games only support the team if it is handed to them on a plate. I like going to away games. I'm at Bath on Saturday. If I wanted to do non-league groundhopping I could have gone somewhere closer and been back in time to spend time with my little ones. To that extent you have to consider that supporting is more important than groundhopping but given the choice I'll do both. Out of interest, how many times have we taken over 1200 to an away game in the FA Cup in recent years?

Hmmm, very one sided view there. I financially couldn't have a season ticket because of the travel down to Maidstone every other week / midweek - doesn't mean I or anyone else supports the team less than anyone who lives in the town and / or can make it to the stadium easily? People also have families / partners / jobs / commitments / medical issues they have to put before football, so may not either be able to commit to season tickets or have to pick and choose which games they attend. Don't see what's so 'hard' when drawing a rather dull conclusion from that, other than your own self satisfaction at being able to attend regularly? A little judgemental perhaps... Not sure where you think I said anything about having a season ticket or attending every home game, or why you are applying my comments to people who may not live near enough to attend regularly, or who have other commitments. But if you live close enough to easily attend a home cup tie and refuse to attend because it isn't interesting enough, but would happily attend an away tie against the same club on the same day, then it's not unreasonable to assume that visiting new grounds is more important than supporting the club. Surely such people are not really Maidstone United supporters. I only get a few Saturdays off to go here and there. I also like away days. I thus look for interesting games that Maidstone are playing in and arrange to go to those. This month it is Bath away. Next month I am interested in Dartford away. After that it is Oxford City away. See how it goes. Each time, I will be supporting Maidstone but I will be going to an away game because I like going to other places. The support is first and the travel is the bonus.

On leaving the cheshunt game I remarked that no one stood out in the cheshunt team but they all worked together as a team. If we worked together as a team all will be fine. If ten individuals turn up and leave jake exposed then there may be trouble ahead
