[br I can handle the boredom if it means another wedge in ticket money, prize money and a route to the next round. Save the away days for Old Trafford and Anfield

I'll happily take the lowest placed team at home in every round, right up to the third round, when I'll want the complete opposite. Even the first round has some tasty opposition.

What a fickle lot fans are. Two 'boring' home games on the bounce, in which eight goals are scored, six by Stones. While it wasn't great watching for much of Saturday, we banked some prize money and gave us the best possible chance of another wedge in two weeks time, with the hope of big league opposition like Sunderland, Ispwich or Portsmouth in the first round proper. On such things are extras over the general club budget built. See the bigger picture folks.

There's footage there of them beating Folkestone 4-0 in an earlier round. Absolutely catastrophic defending by Folkestone, if our defence is switched on we should be ok but it's cup football and no such thing as a foregone conclusion.

Completely agree, but I think the general 'moaning' in regards to yet another home draw, is that it's been the case for the past few seasons - Kings Langley away is still winnable but brings up a club we have rarely, if ever, played away to before. Just a bit more fun. Nobody would honestly take that over an easier path into the first round. Anyway - roll on this game and a tasty away fixture to one of the bigger league clubs (although, I guarantee you we'll draw them at home still...)

Surely the aim is to go as far as possible not do a tour of England. There is the Trophy for that. If we make it to the Second Round we might earn enough to finally build the river side stand or sign some top rate players to drive us up the table. This is a fantastic draw.. could have been boreham wood away.

I would have just liked a nice day out somewhere that I have not been to before, I can go to Maidstone every day of every week. It's not really about the football it's about the day out for me as I believe we will beat them wherever we play

Some decent money to be earned, in addition to splitting the gate receipts.
THE EMIRATES FA CUP SEASON 2019-2020 PRIZE FUND PAYMENTS Extra Preliminary Round winners (184) £2,250 Extra Preliminary Round losers (184) £750 Preliminary Round winners (160) £2,890 Preliminary Round losers (160) £960 First Round Qualifying winners (116) £4,500 First Round Qualifying losers (116) £1,500 Second Round Qualifying winners (80) £6,750 Second Round Qualifying losers (80) £2,250 Third Round Qualifying winners (40) £11,250 Third Round Qualifying losers (40) £3,750 Fourth Round Qualifying winners (32) £18,750 Fourth Round Qualifying losers (32) £6,250 First Round Proper winners (40) £36,000 Second Round Proper winners (20) £54,000 Third Round Proper winners (32) £135,000 Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £180,000 Fifth Round Proper winners (8) £360,000 Quarter Final winners (4) £720,000 Semi Final losers (2) £900,000 Semi Final winners (2) £1,800,000 Final runners-up (1) £1,800,000 Final winners (1) £3,600,000
So maybe £4000 X 3 for our share of gate receipts after expenses.
£22,500 prize money so far. Plus £6250 or £18750 prize money in the next round.
Over £50,000 so far, if we beat Kings Langley.

With the draws we've had so far, it's effectively been a bye into the first round! And, yeah, I know we could cock it up - and would have done in the past. But not this season (despite nearly letting HT have a replay!). Anyway, I won't be there (prior engagement in London!), so I'm happy for us to play total shit - as long as we win.
