It's strange, I'm hard pressed to put names to the faces of the team at Ebbsfleet (the last photo in the article). A sign of how quickly the players move on in non-league, perhaps. Or my age....

Talking of Bury. They want to be made a special case for EFL membership. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49829915That should give hope to ourselves, Aldershot, Hereford etc. Go bust, stay in the league. |

I can't see that being granted as it sets a dangerous precedent whereby other clubs might think bankruptcy is an easy way out of their problems, if they think they can start a phoenix club and go straight back into league football. Much as we all have sympathy for the fans, there has to be some adverse consequences to poor business management |

Good. 'Compassionate grounds' is as much use as a chocolate teapot to the players, other staff and no doubt many other creditors who will almost certainly never see a penny of the money they are owed. |

If true, that must be a pretty rare achievement. |
