I travel to the majority of the away games with my son, an obviously the home games, I,m not bothered about other fans an what games they go to but what annoys me is those fans who dont attend matches but comment about them on here, and then you get people who come out with the old saying " I supported the club longer than you". We will always need new fans an must encourage them along as much as possible. Well I thought it was a shocking performance and I can say that because I went in the County League days

We started off well and took the lead and then thought the job was done. For the remaining 80+minutes were not good . Our midfield was atrocious. Clovis was that effective he might as well been on top of the nearest hill. Khan was embarrassing . Kwei well the only thing I can say is get rid of the useless c**t NOW. Our midfield was abysmal ,non existent and we were run ragged by a team 10 times better than us on one third of the budget. They had the skill and the will to win we had nothing. It is absolutely ridiculous that our first show of passion came from the management on 92 minutes. If we play like this next week then you can kiss a cup run goodbye because Cheshuntwull come with desire something we lacked badly today. How do you know what budget they are on. Certainly the rumours I've heard are that they are on a very decent budget, probably substantially more than ours, although I have to stress they are only rumours.

My understanding is that they are Ricay 2.0 but without all the Clowning about. No excuse for a poor show - but makes it slightly more explainable.

The woman next to me in the main stand was a season ticket holder for Dorking who told me their budget was around £2750 per week as told to her by the officials at the AGM. As to whether that is one third of our budget well admittedly I am guessing a bit there. One thing I am certain of though is they had a desire to win whereas ,George apart,we didn't.

Most on here seem to be of the opinion (and I am also actually) that the current main area of weakness is the midfield. Quite ironic really that Michael Phillips wanted to stay and even offered to take a PAY CUT to do so. But that was turned down and the management team decided it would be best to ship him out. Now he’s cutting the mustard at top of the league Wealdstone. Whilst we seemingly need to strengthen our midfield. Totally agree. For the games I managed to see last season he demonstrated that he had what I can only describe as a 'football brain'. As I have said in a previous post during the summer I would have made him captain also.

My punt is that Saidou and Nana will get their marching orders and two new midfielders will be signed. Any other punts? You did say punts

youtu.be/KWFxqI5bry4Footage of the scuffle. I think Nana probably more likely, Sadiou was talked about quite highly in previous interviews so will be surprised if he’s kicked out rather than dropped. Perhaps if he is replaced he will be loaned rather than cast off. I’ve seen Nana a fair bit over the season already and I don’t think he would be missed as much as if Wishart of Justin left us

For f sake guys, we offered Phillips a contract at the end of last season and he turned it down as he wanted to play at a higher level i.e. He didn't want to play for us. The newspaper paper article where he said he would take a pay cut came very late in the summer after he realised he wasn't going to get picked up by any national league team and was more out of desperation to get signed up then any loyalty to the club.

He really struggled to get into the game and i dont think he had more than 20 touches the whole game.

I have just seen John's post match interview ( stones TV, on you tube). It has obviously been edited to not include any comments about the incident at the end as the interviewer starts by saying something like firstly talk about the football...John replies.... then cut.. interviewer: and back to the football?.
Anyone know why this is/might be? Maybe instructions from the club,FA, police?
I'm sure the Fa will be investigating but it makes me wonder if the incident was more serious than we realise and charges might be made. (It was hard to see what actually happened through crowd of players).

Indeed. My punt is that Saidou and Nana will get their marching orders and two new midfielders will be signed. Any other punts? Time will tell, OB. I would think midfield is likely going to be the area JS2 and HH will address, that seems the obvious concern. For me, none of the midfielders we have signed so far have looked consistent. Thankfully we still have Wish, he’s been a revelation since returning to the team. But the likes of Corne, Khan, Osei really haven’t done enough yet. I think most of us said back in the summer, it would be a no brainier to hang on to Phillips. Nana Kyei seems everyone's favourite to go, with Khan maybe not, so does that mean a left field one that John and Hak are unhappy with? Maybe Hoyte? or Justin, as reading between the lines he seems a bit precocious? Corne might be at risk, but I think he's improving, as is Clovis. Then of course there is Wish, just because he's on big bucks? As you say, time will tell!...……..what everyone else's PUNTS? (I don't swear, you uncouth lot) BTW Hartley, don't mention Phillips again - I totally agree with you we should have kept him, despite his alleged attitude about wanting to leave, but a lot of people get REALLY upset if you dare to mention old players on these threads. So I wont mention mention how well Stones Legend Flish is doing at the Darts right now, OK? (Puts tin hat on).
