It doesn't happen too often oldboy, but this time I tend to agree with you. Which probably means you are calling it right !

Very unfair on Corne, who has gone from a bad start to fitting in at this level quite nicely. I cant see him going. Pennell had a howler at Welling that we are all judging him on, but has a good track record, so we probably haven't seen the best of him yet. Iffy Allen has lost his place, but he isn't bad. For me it has to be players who, for whatever reason, don't seem to be in contention and currently that's Divine and Olutade. We don't want them to become the new Jack Richards. Still's quote is "......because when you think ‘I’m not quite sure about him’ they go and play well. But you can’t go on a game, you’ve got to go on a group of games." That doesn't fit w ith Olutade and Divine who haven't played "a group of games". The implication is its a player or players that have actually played a few times.

Agreed, Corne has definitely stepped up to the mark. Pennell I feel was played out of position, looks much more of a CB than a FB where he lacked a bit of pace and got turned too easily.

Ditching any of those is harsh and only OK if you are bringing in better, but lets hope JS2 and Hak are just playing psychology to get the best out of their summer choices, and not borrow the clowns revolving door again!

Unless they have found someone better then why change anything so early in the campaign especially as we are picking up the pace nicely. We are already a top 4 side as we are so why change until you have to. I thought we were excellent at Dulwich and I would play the same side so Saturday possibly giving Akbani the first 60 mins instead of Edward's then change if need be. Unless the likes of Allen,Divine and Olutade are not happy about being on the bench and want out then I wouldn't rock the boat just yet.

I think JS2 is just turning the screw on the current squad here.

He's currently running quite a bit over budget, so he has to trim things back a bit, if for no other reason.

Dagenham fans all said he was a great defender (in the centre) I still think he could be very good signing and hope we give him more opportunities in his best role.

If George isn't going to be ever present this season we can play him at CB with either Lewis or Ryan without worries.

With the players we have then we have the ability in personnel to play 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-1-3-1, 3-5-2 etc as a lot of players can play in multiple positions.

Mr Still in this week's interview mentions four players capable, in his view, of making significant progress.
It made me question: were they the only four? does them being mentioned mean they're not on his 'to go list'? does Amaluzour not being mentioned mean he is on the list? is there a list at all?
As I've reminded others on here, patience is apparently a virtue, and thus all may become clear in time.
