Well we have it where the defence pretty well picks itself, everything looking good.
After that there are some doubts about 2/3 players in midfield and up front.
Everybody has played decent matches (or better), but consistently ?
Seems to be the same point John is making, maybe it is still too early to write players in or out.

Perhaps he will bring one or two in and send a couple out on loan rather than cut them off completely

Perhaps it's all just mind games to keep the players on their toes . I personally think the squad we have is about right in personnel and numbers but maybe already over budget perhaps

Divine and Olutade haven't featured much and Iffy Allen seems to have dropped out of favour, but we also have, according to JS2 himself "a small squad" so would we really offload them? Hopefully he doesn't mean Wish, who although probably expensive, is absolute class at this level.

I have a feeling a few who have barely featured will be on their way (Devine, Olutade). Also think Pennell as well as he was clearly struggling. I think the managers will be eying up a CB as George is clearly going to miss games, and will need rests. Also, beyond our starting FBs we look a bit light.
I liked the look of Olutade, but with MCClure, Akambi and Edwards with Embury to come back, I can’t see him getting much of a chance.
I can’t see any reason that any of our regulars would go.
I have been disappointed with Allen and Kyei as i thought they were two of our best players in pre-season. I think they have enough potential to stick with.
Wish is my main worry. He is thriving at this level but also probably eating wages for 2 or 3 other targets. If we could stretch the budget to keep him, I’d be pleased. I thought he may go when McClure came in to be honest, and then again when Turh (probably spelt wrong) came in.

If Wish is on contract, it's not JS2's decision anyway - he'll stay until he receives a national league clubs attention ?

Going back to Oliver's podcast, my reading of what he said was that he was happy for JS2 to go over budget whilst building a squad, but he expected him to trim the wages a bit once the squad was settled, so the spending remained within budget over the whole season. I would imagine that's what is happening now.

I would imagine people are starting to take notice though, 4 goals already.

Can't remember when Wishart joined (Wikipedia still have him at Surtton!) - was he Clown or post-Clown?

I’d suspect Corne, who’s not particularly impressed.
Olutade and Iffy Allen? Both barely featured this season, but I’d prefer a loan for at least Olutade who is still young. With Embrey back soon he falls down the pecking order particularly as we only seem to play one striker

Very unfair on Corne, who has gone from a bad start to fitting in at this level quite nicely. I cant see him going.
Pennell had a howler at Welling that we are all judging him on, but has a good track record, so we probably haven't seen the best of him yet.
Iffy Allen has lost his place, but he isn't bad.
For me it has to be players who, for whatever reason, don't seem to be in contention and currently that's Divine and Olutade.
We don't want them to become the new Jack Richards.
