Very professional performance. Dulwich probably had a bit more possession but we did a lot more with it. Very tight first half but we bossed the second. As someone has already said, everyone put in a shift. We were very good down both flanks but the highlight for me (apart from the goal) was an absolute monster of a clearance from Kahn that's probably still going.

Great gutsy performance and great winning goal. Not always pretty, but professional and over 90 minutes we edged it. Great performance from the Stones faithful, too! Hi

Well done lads. Lovely result. Before this descends into another all about me JDL thread...how did we play and did many go? Very good game and we should of in all honesty scored a couple more, every player put a shift in which was really good to see, the crowd was just over 1500 and I reckon at least 200 Maidstone supporters, though it was difficult to count us as we were all dotted around the ground, it was good to see Justin up and about after being stretchered off so fingers crossed it wasn’t anything too serious Cheers Toon

I would like to thank the ref who did his best to keep the game flowing despite a number of thunderous challenges that on another day with another official would have resulted in a box load of yellow and red cards. This was not a game for the faint hearted as both defences stood resolute for an hour before things began to open up. Dulwich should have lead but they missed a sitter as their forward rose, unchallenged ,into the air but could not keep his header from going a foot over the bar. Their keeper made a number of excellent saves before Edward's left the field introducing Akbani. I think it was less than a minute later that the aforementioned slotted home and despite being in agony I went mental which was probably not a wise thing to do when you are the only Stones fan among 500 Dulwich. Talking of the fans I think we easily had 200 there and if that crowd was 1500 then I am young, slim and handsome it was 2000+easily. I would like to thank one particular Dulwich fan who bought me a beer when my cash was turned down in favour of a credit/debit card. As I was in so much pain he happily walked all the way to the beer tent and back to purchase my pint for me ,TOP MAN . As others have already said the whole team performed well with no shirkers in this bruising encounter. This is without doubt the best performance of the season so far I only hope they have something left for an even bigger game on Saturday against Havant & Looneytuneville.

Great feedback from everyone about last night game , thanks to Eurotunnel I was unable to attend but will be there on Saturday !. I hope that it will be a Maidstone United team that will have carried over that winning mentality ! Looneytuneville have a decent squad & manager , but so do we if we follow J.S 2 & H.H. instructions !!. C'MON You Stones!!! 🖤🧡⚽️

Agree with most of the above. As a team I thought we worked so hard for that, the front 3 ran themselves into the ground covering and closing down - a top professional performance. Disappointed with Hamlet, some pretty football at times but no real punch up front and a good share of aimless punts. Their 'marquee' players ( Clunis, Allassani etc. ) didn't really turn up. Lovely place to watch football, decent crowd, no mindless rubbish, a variety of quality beers available, what more do you want ?

Very professional performance and a masterstroke substitution. Great club Dulwich with great fans. No segregation no 'security'... just proper nonleague football that everyone enjoyed... great to see big George back too.

Interesting posts on the Hamlet forum that were disappointed with the home performance but accepted that the Stones deserved the 3 points. Described the Stones following as 'rowdy' but not in a critical sense. From a Dulwich perspective they rated Clovis Kamdjo in midfield who broke up the home side's attacking. Probably his best Stones performance (not too difficult) but still a positive.

Thought he was MOTM last night. Not a glamorous role, but he did exactly what the anchor man needs to do - won the loose balls, strong in the tackle, positive shifting the ball forward. Stopped all of the charging counter attacks we’ve been on the receiving end of from Dulwich over the years. As has been said at length elsewhere, thought the whole team put in an impressive shift. John and Hak clearly able to get a reaction after a bad result, which bodes well. Thought McClure got a bit lost and brushed off the ball too easily, but Dulwich clearly had their eye on him as our danger man.

Great performance. Always looked like one goal would decide it, and luckily (and deservedly) it went our way.
Big George really is the kind of player we were missing last season. Great to see him come over to the Stones fans, beating his chest and shaking hands with people.
