Its unbelievable that its only 12 months since Jay was still our Manager.
What a lot has happened to our club in that short time, and the number of players (And Managers/Coaches) who came and went, and whose careers have ended or nosedived, and the few who are stable (i.e. still in NL) or on the up (only really Pigott, that I can think of).
If a week is a long time in politics a year is a lifetime in football! I certainly feel at least five years older in footballing terms since the last chant of "Jay Saunders...……... Black and Amber Army"
Thank God we have hope again, are winning again, and are still financially stable, still have a ground, and aren't run by wackos - on the pitch or off it.
So much could have happened to us even worse than it did, so I am today thankful for our owners, for JS2 and big George...…...and maybe even for Hak, but I'm still working on that one!
Come on you Stones!

Did you actually bother reading my post, Sham? Probably not, as you missed the point COMPLETELY. I am over Jay, I'm just pointing out that it seems much longer than a year ago, as so much has happened, and wondering if others felt the same. Don't bother commenting if you aren't going to read things properly, Sham.

What a strange and stroppy thread! It was fine at the start but Sham took exception to it and killed it.

And I’ve just fell in as nws has revived it Sham - you still seem to have taken this thread as a lament for Jay - it wasn't. I was just pointing out how much had happened to MUFC in 12 months, that's all, and yes, you did seem to take exception to that and you did somewhat harshly wrote it off as a bring Jay back waste of time - which it wasn't. I was only looking back to ponder and how much has happened and looking forward to how far we have come, that's all. But you are entitled to your opinion. JS1 is very much history but my amazement was he is only history by 12 months when it seems like much longer ago than that! JS2 is doing a great job and the team is shaping up nicely and the Wealdstone hiccup should be followed by a win or at least a draw at the Hamlet tomorrow night. COYS!

I agree oldboy, part of being a football fan is the ability to look back over the years at the good and bad times, the laughs you've had and the tears you have shed, the friends you have made as well as the odd enemy. Take away these memories then all you have is the next game to look to and that doesnt feel right to me. Yes it has been a year since JS1 was goonered and that year has flown by and yet it hasn't in a way I suppose what I mean is in my personal life the last year seems to have taken about a fortnight to pass but in footballing terms in the dark days of the clown it seemed to drag on and on and on . At the end of it though I think both MUFC &JS1 have found a level they are comfortable with.

It won't get any better sword. Every passing day is a smaller percentage of your life than previously. Your brain is telling you that every moment of your existence today is leaving less time for tomorrow. The fact is that time for all of us is racing away ever faster until finally - - - -
