Rod Stringer's post match interview was an interesting listen. Publicly slagging off his players, especially the keeper. Very poor management, why would you want to put the effort in for a c*** like that. Whilst I sometimes think Hakan manages to say practically nothing of substance in his interviews at least he does it quickly. Mr Stringer managed to waffle on about conceding poor goals for over 13 minutes.

I'm never there in August, but I went to a couple of pre-seasons last year where the weather was similar, and that stand is lethal in the heat/sun. Luckily, it was pretty empty, so we were able to move up a row each time the sun got lower, but eventually there was nowhere to move to and we had to give up. I know it sounds pathetic - can't sit in the sun for 90 minutes in England, but there's something about that stand that seems to amplify the heat. Having the sun right in your eyes for most of the game, even in the winter, isn't much fun either- can't wait for the Riverside to be built! When JWW was built, I thought the 'natural' slope was a godsend - an ideal layout, but it not only means the main stand is a sun trap, but also that there's no room under it for the usual facilities. And, of course, it dictates the width of the pitch. Still preferable to Sittingbourne or Ashford though - or something souless like The Hive or Stadium MKD miles out of town. You'll be a lot,lot older cos that new stand ain't going up for a wee while yet.

PS - jumping up and down, I accidentally broke the Panic button. I wonder if Old Boy has a spare... No I don’t I posted it first class to Mr G Tamplin in Essex!
John is honest enough to say our squad is light - my point all summer but now we know why - but this team he has put together is really playing its socks off and gelling brilliantly.
When someone like Ryan Johnson can come from East Grinstead to looking like he should be in NL and Sam Corne rise from Ashford to a star at this level and Wish playing like he never played in NL you know something special is happening!
I could go on with the list as Monday was a class team performance. I hope we don’t come down with a thump next outing but on this showing playoffs are a reality not a hope. COYS!
It is good to hear oldboy revise his opinions on the prospects of the team this season Will it last I wonder, meaning oldboy's newly found positivity, or can a leopard truly change his spots ? I suspect that after a couple of disappointing results the forum's chameleon will reappear with a vengeance. The true nature of the beast will return, it will all be gloom and doom and the panic button rediscovered. But like this fantastic weather, it's lovely while it lasts.

What you don't realise is that the Leopard's natural spots are actually really quite happy ones! That's why NWS's endless negativity on the political thread finally wore me down. The NL years brought the negativity out of all of us, and rightly so - it was awful. The summer slowness to get players was also justifiable cause for concern, as was the length of time it took for us to both get a squad, and for that squad to work together (I think even you thought that!). So the spots went dull for a while, for sure, and PB's were on hand. However, that is all behind us know as the team is bonding - and How! So I am back to my normal happier outlook on life - no PB's to be seen! (They are in Billericay, Margate and Ebbsfleet!) Not that one result a season maketh, nor should we run away with thinking we are going to be champions or anything, but Monday is certainly very very encouraging for us to have hope of a challenge for play-offs, and I am excited how some players are also showing their true spots now and that it all doesn't hang on Justin, thank God, which is just as well given that he seems a bit temperamental! We are even covering over the lack of a CF - or is that role actually now covered by Johnny and Matt? Mondays game burst a huge cloud of doom that has been over JWW since Jay lost his way in NL, and was much, much needed. Keep it up boys!

By the by, anyone found out when we last won by three clear goals, at home, in the league? Billericay 28 Feb 2015 ( I L P ) - won 3 - 0 ? So, just the four and a half years then - including several promotions! Wonder how long it will be before we win by four at home, in the league? Havant a week on Saturday? Wouldn't that be nice....

If the 2015 season began on 1st August we won 4-0 v Hendon, but otherwise cannot find a home league game we won by three clear goals in the last four years. The Hendon match was for the Isthmian Charity Shield. In other words, a friendly. I know a wooooosh when I smell one...

No. You gave up replying because you realised I was saying things that were factual and you were responding with Daily Express hyperbole.

Can anyone tell me who was booked on Monday (both teams)? My programme stats won't be complete otherwise! I usually rely on FWP, but it appears Ian isn't sending them any info, not even a team list. Darren Lovell was my source in Sittingbourne days, does anyone know how/where he is these days?

For them again i think 3-4 yellows. Makes it sound like it was a dirty game however imo with one exception i didn't feel the yellows were really warranted.

Didn't look malicious but he definitely took the players legs away somewhat after the ball had gone.
