It is almost a new thread, when was the last time you saw Stones win at home? But apparently we beat Barnet 2 - 1 (Amaluzor, Swaine) on 9 April, though I have no memory of the match.

Me neither. It was a Tuesday evening game, the first after we were officially relegated, and the last game of that season we didn't lose. I remember the first win over Barnet very clearly - it felt like the Clown's revolution was coming good at last and we were on our way to safety. Who'd have thought at the time that we'd we go on to do the double over them, but be relegate by then?
Football eh? Waits until you relax and then kicks you in the goolies.
Thinking about it, I do remember that evening - beating a 'big' club, and a home win - but poitless, as we were already down. My main memory is of the somewhat ironic applause at the end, and mutterings of why couldn't you do this a bit earlier, why now?

Just checked the weather to see what it will be tomorrow evening. And according to the BBC it's only 15 degress there today!! It's August, FFS, sort yourselves out!
Nice bit of rain due Wednesday though - just what my garden needs.
Anyone fancy popping round to mow my lawn tomorrow?

Tomorrow night Cloudy and 15-18 C no rain no excuses perfect footballing night for a Stones win in front of a good crowd. Wonder how many Eastbourne will bring to occupy half the Genco?

Half a car load and that's a two seater car.

I'd like to witness a win. It seems a long time ago 'since I last attended a match at the Gallagher'. Well 27th July 2019 is a long time ago😂😂😂

SL sounding worryingly positive...

Looking fairly average and as usual uncreative...

Decent enough defence but with this midfield and attack we are not going to trouble many teams indeed.
This game showed up perfectly our bargain basement shopping in the transfer market

Sounded better than that on SL. But I'll settle for a point and a clean sheet. And 1700+ on an August Tuesday evening is OK.
Onwards and upwards.

We re a nothing team. Not bad enough to go down but a long way from going up. Certainly lacking a goal scorer.

Why is it that the moaners are so keen to post their negative stuff straight after a match. Same old faces. Be a nice change if they gave the rest of us a break. It's still very early days and the new look team is obviously work in progress. Slowly coming together, the team will continue to get better. Defence is already good, midfield and attack needs plenty of tuning and improvement. Keep the faith. How can any supporter describe the Stones as a nothing team ? If that's how you feel Nigel, you know what you can do.

This game showed up perfectly our bargain basement shopping in the transfer market Awful in midfield. Same as for Weymouth on opening day. The attack has no supply. There’s just no creativity or any degree of control there I’m afraid. They have to look after the ball much, much better in the middle.
