Yep, it went something along the lines of...
"I got conned by a big nasty man even though I think I'm business savvy.... 3G pitches are brilliant but those nasty men at the Football League won't let me use it at their level so I won't put any decent funding into the team I co-own.... we really, really fucked up by sacking Jay and employing the Clown from 'ricay because he was cheaper than than Bill's option but I haven't got the balls to to actually admit that its mine, and Terry's, fault that this club got relegated last season.... quiconque n'est pas d'accord avec moi sera forcé de quitter ce club"
Think that just about covers it.

If a couple of Mill each isn't decent funding then please inform us of how much they should invest/or borrow to invest As for the 3G i would prefer a grass pitch but it is much preferable than travelling to Sittingbourne/Ashford to watch my team.

Agree with you there davec. The only thing i would add is if stormtrooper67 thinks that the owners haven't put enough money into the club why doesn't he come forward and stick some money into the club.

Would prefer grass too, but in terms of sustainability at non league level 3G is an absolute no brainer all the while it's allowed...

Jesus Christ how can anyone listen to that and think badly of Oliver Ash..!? Unless of course you think he is lying through his teeth! The club were a week away from going bust again until he stepped in with a Terry! Like 3G or not we simply would not have had the success we have had without it and if we want a budget above the average in this league it has to stay! He wants to develop the river side and town end to be suitable for league One football so it’s there for the future. He realises National League is our limit without further investors. He will not sell up to anyone who he thinks will destroy the club. The average player budget in this league is 280,000 a season and we spend quite a lot more than this. He would have Saunders back one day as manager. He wants to find the money to increase the academy by building training pitches somewhere near and therefor increase government funding. An honest bloke running a business to the benefit of the Town and the supporters.

It was far more interesting and reasoned than suggested above.
Personally I think we are lucky having Oliver and Terry.
Too much in the podcast to put here. Recommend listening

I don't understand the whinging fuckers (unless they're deliberately trying to cause dissent (let us know how that goes...)). We don't need 'em, they won't win, so they can Foxtrot Oscar back where they came from. In the meantime, the rest of us are all grateful for what we have. We've been in places where we've had far, far less.

Open and honest as always.
We are surely lucky to have the owners we have.
I think the problem is the young modern fan has an idea that football is all rosy and promotions.
Everyone is a football expert these days!

Everyone is a football expert these days! To be fair to the young fans who've only followed us since 2012, recent seasons must have been a bit of a shock. Three promotions in the first four years, growing crowds expanding stadium, back in th NL "where we belong" - then it gradually all goes tits up. Normal football, of course, unless you're a recent fan of Man City, or Chelski, or a Man U 'follower' - but a sudden and unexplained crash, if you've only known the Stones, post 2012. But things will get better and their expectations will get more realistic. Some will drift away, but for most this struggle will mature them into solid fans. What puzzles me though, is that the really negative 'fans', the ones who explode on here and on FB, the ones who harrange the players and managers as they come off the pitch - they are rarely the new fans. What is it with them - some personal issue?

I urge everyone to listen to it, I couldn't in one hit as it was quite long.
Not sure the youngsters will be able to cope an hour away from their Xboxes or PlayStation though.

I think old, established fans have made a sort of unwritten covenant with the club, along the lines of ' I'll waste a lot of my life / time / money following you guys, but in return I want some pashun & results ' . When these people see shapeless, hopeless performances hobbled by obvious selection errors they react poorly.

Its not just old established supporters who think along the same lines as you, I for one who have been following Maidstone since 2012 fully understand the ups and downs associated with football, its either an age thing or the fact that I have supported Newcastle since as long as I can remember, I will say however that this season I will be concentrating mostly on away games as the home games have lost some of their lustre and its a real struggle to watch
