Hello people Which is the best way to go and what time do people suggest leaving to account for traffic etc? Cheers I'm going A2, not touching the M25 as the junction off the motorway onto the A2 London bound has a bad habit of long queues. Talking of bad habits I have tended to come off the A2 at the Black Prince junction and invariably moan about the traffic as I crawl along to the ground. Believe the next junction would be better.
Whilst some might suggest that with our performances of late they'd leave at any time other than Tuesday evening I'm going for 6.30 for a 45 minute journey.

You can get the train from Maidstone Barracks to Bex'leaf with a journey time of 65 to 95 minutes, the only problem is, the journey home is an adventure .

This is Park view road in summertime if you open your mouth your likely to get a dozen flying ants in it. Welling fc is home to 50% of the British population of flying ants.

I revisited the site (the trainline.com) and bizarrely its now showing Ā£35. Iāll keep an eye on it, even at Ā£35 thatās still pretty steep but Iāll see if it does come down at all between now and Tues AM.

Have you checked how much a one day travel card is as it maybe cheaper than a straight return.

Have you checked how much a one day travel card is as it maybe cheaper than a straight return. Railcards are definitely worth it if you travel more than a few times a year. Two or three trips to London and you get your money back. I've got an Old Git's card (60+), if I'm traveling on my own, and a Friends and Family card if we're all going out. Both are national, not just restricted to the old NW SE area (like the Network card), and both are valid from 9, not the usual 10am restriction. Wonderful feeling to click on 'Railcard' and see a third get knocked off the price! Also, not for the Welling game, obviously, but for anything a week or two ahead, you can usually get advance tickets, which can be a hell of a lot cheaper (especially combined with a railcard!). The only drawback is that you have to get the designated train(s), and there's no refund if you can't go. We went by train to Gatwick this year, because of all he delays on the M25, and, even though I only booked up a few days ahead, to my surprise I still got an advance ticket, and that, plus my F&F card, came out at less than half what I was expecting.
