Well having spent the weekend reflecting on the game an seeing what has been posted on here an on FB I can see it,s going to be a long hard season, we lose the first game an already people are screaming for people to leave, an how we are doomed to failure, lighten up people it,s just one game into the season. Have faith, personally I thought we wasn,t that bad over the 90mins.

Where I was in the TE, first half, we could have went in a couple up. Maybe a shout for a pen on Corne when he looked to be pulled down. Get a couple of wins and I think this team will surprise a few. Can’t make Welling due to work, but looking forward to Hungerford. Quick one on their fans. Sort of reminded me of some of our lot when we’re away from home. Pissed right up, but not as fat though

At the end of the game I was told to turn round and walk 100 yards around the back of the town end for my own safety I then told the security that I was disabled so would get out of my f**king way for your own safety ,funnily enough the coward got out of the way.

Speaking to the fella that was thrown out and all grazed up. He was acting like knob, but there was about 5 on him taking him out. Choke holds and all. Security sn

You probably scared the shite out of him sword, it seems that the break has not done security an favours, still appear to be somewhat over zealous.

Calm down JDL!
No, officially the time to panic is end of August if we havent found our team mojo and havent won a game or two or at least got some credible draws, and if we are still saying "the team needs to gel and learn about each other".
THEN we panic
Or at least forget about play offs, and settle down for a mid table year.
It's all about managing expectations. Every win - or even goal - is something to cheer if you've written off promotion.
Right now, we are still in the pre-season expectation of challenging for play-offs, and are therefore, quite reasonably, expecting good results and performances in August to set ourselves up for that.

Who are you trying to convince? JDL or yourself.

They were hammered and queuing for more beer. They were quietly removed to be fair. As for the rest of it, I cannot comment as was in the EE but am not hearing much support for the security (won’t call them stewards). As for the game, most have said over and over that it’ll take a few games to be up to speed, and then one loss and it’s all forgotten!

Highlights. youtu.be/wAdHFWC0D0oI wonder if Section 4 of the Football Offences Act 1991 applies to the pitch invader. Was anyone arrested and charged on Saturday? Or would the club not like the lapse in security to receive too much publicity? Sunday's NLP had a ' centrefold ' featuring the chubby lad who came on to celebrate with the Weymouth players - that ought to give the ' authorities ' a lead !

Who are you trying to convince? JDL or yourself. Not trying to convince anyone just saying it’s all about expectations and the clubs are still for play offs so if that expectation is to be realistic we can’t have a bad start in August - that’s all! I think you’re reading too much into things. Lets hope we have a turnaround at Park View - or at the very least not lose again!

Its a certainty to be in the referee's match report to the FA. Even before the individual was escorted off the referee came across to the assistant on the river side gesturing for him to take a written note of the event.

Just listened to John Still's post match interview. Seems fair enough. He acknowledges there is plenty of room for improvement from a number of players both required and expected. Happy that we have the dynamic duo in charge and not Frenchie !
