Football fan ends up in hospital after getting repeatedly kicked in the head at the Havant v Wealdstone game. Reports say he may need surgery to fit metal plates . Couldnt work out if it was an H&W fan or Wealdstone. Addendum: Victim was a 13 year old H&W fan and police are asking for witnesses.

Things like that make me not want to go, far more than bad results.

Wealdstone will be a very welcome addition to the National League in 2020 / 21.

He lost consciousness and was repeatedly kicked in the head. He has suffered concussion and a badly fractured eye socket that may need surgery to fit a metal plate but this is not certain until the swelling goes down.

What do people get out of this? Kicking a kid until he ends up in hospital - it defies belief. Nothing to do with football, but it's football that will get the blame. Hope the kid makes a full recovery and those responsible are found and locked up.

And Bath were 2nd going into that game!
H&W had a bit of a mare as well - drawing away to Chippenham Town, 2nd from bottom!
Only one of the other contenders for 1st place won today - Slough, 1-0 at Braintree (who look like they could be going down for the second season running).
Now they've got over their 4 game away blip, Wealdstone are definitely looking like Champions elect.

They are going great guns ,its just a shame they lost the Hive stadium to Barnet or else they would have been really set up for success. I am not sure success will automatically follow at their Ruislip ground and I find it hard to believe it is ready for NL football surely they will need to spend money on it to bring it up to standard.
