Lots of downcast posts on other threads suggesting that NLS survival could be a more realistic goal than play offs so let’s hope Tuesday night sees a unified team performance with some quality performances to raise confidence again. COYS!

I,d like to think that the management have by now an idea of there first choice starting eleven an for the remainder of PSF,s I would like that to be the main starting side.

Shouldn't be that difficult, if you exclude triallists, injured player, player signed by former manager who'd rather be elsewhere and one of the keepers it doesn't currently leave that many to choose from.

Hopefully we will sign up the best of those triallists to bolster the squad. Still need an experienced forward though.

He came on second half and was playing a more holding role, the stats in that link would point to a more box to box player, although second half of a pre season game difficult to really see much unless we know what specifics js and hak are looking for. In the egt game, those that impressed were: Devine looked good at centre half commanding being a leader and later moved to right back - certainly a huge step up from his performance at Herne bay. Cameron Williams played centre half and looked calm and composed, carried the ball out a few times, he will be in the under 23 team but would like to think he'll be around the first time bench or starting Kent cup games at the very least. Saido Khan played centre mid always looking for the ball got an engine, kinda like a Stu Lewis with better distribution but not as passionate/charismatic although that may come Wishart 30 yard blast would've been contender for goal of the season. Bassey-Sandhla i think there is a player there how effective for us remains to be seen but got a bit of pace a few tricks, needs to work on final ball but a nice touch i just think he lacks confidence, if we do sign him he could be a gem if he gets over the confidence issues, was unlucky to be flagged offside as finished the chance well. Both barrington and akandi showed good pace but not enough end product imo

Does anyone know why the Genco is closed for tonights game? I think the logic behind it would be to fill up the main stand/town end so at at least attempts to create some atmosphere rather then I imagine 300 if that dotted around sparingly

If the Genco was opened it would require stewards on every stairwell and below as well as under the stand, so I guess its a cost issue.

Does anyone know why the Genco is closed for tonights game? Answering the question you actually asked - "Yes, someone does know why". Presumably at least the person who made the decision?

The creating more atmosphere argument doesn’t make sense as a big empty stand creates an atmosphere vacuum! Shame though, as I was hoping fans would start to want to come to see the new team in the next two games at home against decent opposition now the Bay and the Grinsteads are out of the way and first NLS game is looming. If more do come tonight, and they are Genco people, the closure will be off putting. Are we really that short of money? I hope not!

Maybe a number of stewards are taking their vacations now before the start of the season?

The entire crowd for the Bromley game would have fitted comfortably in the main stand. Based on last season they surely should be considered the "decent opposition" rather than Dagenham or Southend U23s?
Or are you suggesting the Bromley crowd was low because the Genco stand wasn't open for that game either and it put people off?
