Thought my alarm went off. I’m so pissed first drink in 7 weeks at ramblin man. Sitting playing a gentle bit of nickelback and having home made Vodka. Doing sword proud today

Academy Development Triallist So a starting eleven cobbled together of 3 contracted players (Lewington, Wishart and Devine), one Academy, one Development Squad and 6 triallists managed by far the better overall performance than the other 4 pre-season friendlies.
Actually looked like they wanted to take players on and try and get that round thing in the opposition's netty thing, a concept I was starting to wonder if Maidstone had forgotten about.
Did like the moment in the second half when John Still tried to coach our academy right back but clearly had no idea who he was and had to refer to him as 'fullback'. Made me smile

Sign up the trialists? Could be they put more in because they want to be noticed, whereas the already contracted players have been saving themselves a bit? Who knows.. The only thing certain about last night is that Grinstead were using an old Stones kit.

The only thing certain about last night is that Grinstead were using an old Stones kit. I'm very wary of making any conclusions from last night's performance especially considering the level of the opposition. However I did think that our goalscorer, Stephen Okoh, who my quick internet search showed he was with us (academy?) 5 years ago, appeared to have more about him as a target man / goalscorer than Jonathan Edwards has showed so far.

Okoh, born Sept 1994, played for MUFC in ( IIRC ) a KSC Game in 2013/14 ( H v Tonbridge A, L 2 - 3 ). Not fancied by Management, has subsequently been signed to VCD, Gazieh ( Lebanon ), Hastings, Leatherhead, Lewes, Stranraer, Margate & Bromley, but hasn't recently made much of an impact. Would be a speculative signing, but might be worth a punt ? www.betvictoristhmian.co.uk/midfielders-international-clearance-comes-through-25806/www.margate-fc.co.uk/news/06-sep-2018/The-Gate-Sign-Okoh

The only thing certain about last night is that Grinstead were using an old Stones kit. I found that very confusing on the highlights, not recognising any of the players, until the first goal went in!

Nothing wrong with Grinstead using older stones kit, I'm sure brightlight were more than happy with double exposure at no extra cost
