Well I'm depressed at the rampant hypocrisy of many of our politicians. Which is why I admire Rory Stewart, even though he's a remainer. But Remainer Cameron's memoirs (which I haven't read, and never will, but a journalist has given me the gist in today's Telegraph) explain how impossible it was to negotiate within the EU, who didn't understand our system of government. When he vetoed a vote on behalf of Britain, the EU changed the rules so our veto wouldn't count. There was one constant though - the Germans always got what they wanted! THATS why we need to leave. In a nutshell.

You will have to excuse my memory it's as fucked as the rest of me,I couldnt remember the name of my doctor yesterday and I have seen him about 30 times. That's hysterical. So, Remain MP's who constantly refused to agree to a deal for three years weren't riding roughshod over all democratic principles to filibuster the public vote to leave? Pots and kettles abound in the madness that abounds. We know that a similar result the other way would have been accepted. We were told that before the referendum. www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36306681For a long time leave voters were very active in asserting that our Parliament is sovereign. When it started to give decisions they didn't like it became anti-democratic. The MP'S they complain about were democratically elected in 2017 and their voting records were publically available. I'm not sure why they feel it would be democratic to bypass the system we have in place just to allow one dictator to progress his ideas (goodbye checks and balances). Surely such a change in constitution needs a public vote at least. If leave is to happen then give a plan that most can live with and let's crack on. Offering lies around the effects etc etc is not really cutting it. You can agitate for no deal. We can then travel to Downing Street together to throw tomatoes with the only difference being that I will have known all along that Alex Johnson has been conning us

I think you're wrong on point one. If the result came out the same most of us would accept it. If it came out the other way there's no way brexiteers would accept it. Just like there was no way they'd have accepted it the first time if it hadn't come out how they wanted. No you are wrong if you had won I would not have liked it but I would have accepted it so why can't you? www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36306681

And now Labour are doing the dictator thing as well, seeking to oust deputy leader Tom Watson by abolishing his post. Both main parties moving ever more towards dictatorship, when they should be governing and being an effective opposition. Strange times...

Both main parties moving ever more towards dictatorship, when they should be governing and being an effective opposition. Strange times... Labour have always behaved like that, it's in their genes. One of the reasons that, lefty as I am, I'm not Labour. The Tories, on the other hand, don't talk about it, they just do it, they don't piss about, I suspect you're not old enough to remember the Night of the Long Knives, but that was totally brutal - and done without the slightest hesitation or guilt - just business. Then there was the way they got rid of Thatcher. Labour are amateurs compared to them.

I've been worried for years that we were nieve if we thought a despotic mad man couldnt convince the electorate to end up omnipotent as leader like a dictator. Today's ruling goes some way to reassure and prove the rule of law is paramount sovereign, fact and rule based
Thanks Christ and the Judiciary for that!

At last it's official, BoJo is a lying cheating good for nothing who should not be in charge of a deckchair, never mind the country. Regardless of where anyone stands on Brexit, this has to be a good day for democracy. He was only voted in by a handful of card carrying Tory members, so the sooner he disappears the better.

Splendid. Another Hitler Rant pending, one hopes. Sarcasm? That one has surely been done to death. It always amazes me how good some of these are and how quickly they are produced.

The more I think about Bojos plotting, the more incredulous I become. There is a certain irony that he got the news while at the UN conference, where he ends up looking a total fuckwit in the eyes all the key foreign leaders. Trouble is, that makes the UK as a whole look stupid and there should be a price to pay for that, namely kicked out of politics, with all his cronies for good. Yet on the six o'clock news we still have people in Stoke, saying he is an ok guy and a strong PM. Express, Sun and Mail readers, no doubt, but sadly there are all too many of them. Which is why we can expect to see BoJo wriggling around politics for some time yet...
