Not sure why there are expectations that players will arrive with great goalscoring records? If they were a consistent scorer, then they would either be at a lower level and coming up, which would be fine, or they would not be looking for a move to a NLS side, as they would be in demand from teams above.
Need to remember that Joe Pigott's record before joining wasn't great. Additionally, Blair had one good spell at Bromley and we probably only got him because JS was willing to take a risk at the time with regard to his 'issue' and others weren't.

Blair hasn't left yet has he? Maybe he is the experienced striker/midfielder we have yet to announce. Apologies if he has left but I have been too busy with the cricket world cup to take everything in.

Hardly a panic buy. John knows what we need. Tired of people trotting out the same stuff about what we need. Isn’t this forums reason for existence for fans to express opinions? Or is that only if it’s in line with your opinion Woodstone? This forum has a reason for existence?

Oh David don’t be pedantic, you know who I mean! 🙄 Dictionary definition of 'pedantic':
giving too much attention to formal rules or small details
Personally I would have thought that not bothering to give a former player the appropriate respect by correctly remembering how to spell his name was more than a "small detail". But there again, what do I know?

Looks like one of those last days panic buys we were concerned about resorting too. We Needed an experienced striker for Jake and Ibrahim but apparently we couldn’t find one! Let’s hope the midfield signings look stronger. Christ. The boy’s only 22. The management have clearly seen something they can work on. Hunger, attitude etc. Remember we’re building a certain type of team. Mould them into winners. Youth mixed with experience. Seems their getting it solid first. They may have who they want and are just building the excitement up towards the coming weeks. Don’t think their ‘ oldboying’ it though. Aka Panicking You’re obsessed Sham with that word. It doesn’t apply to me and I don’t expect it to apply to JS2 either. So Sham you think JS2 and Hak have everyone they need and are just playing with us to build excitement. It’s an interesting opinion which you are entitled to have of course but in my humble view is really very unlikely and if I had suggested it would I’m sure had to face incredible ridicule for saying so.

And before you rattle on about friendlies and team gelling and all that bollocks if we sign someone on loan during the season we don't give him half a dozen meaningless games before we throw him in so why the need to do it now. Just in case you haven't noticed this is not a perfect world, though BOJO might make it so. Stop PANICKING. Calm down Sword for goodness sake! Friendlies and team gelling in pre season training I am sure is very important to JS2 but you are entitled to your view.

Anyone who seriously thinks that Johnson as PM is going to make this a perfect world is: a. seriously unhinged, and b. in for one hell of a disappointment.

Not at all oldboy. I think it’s you who are obsessed. Every post for weeks now you keep rambling on about signings. That’s obsession. Also I never said they had everyone. I said they may have everyone. To finish, you did say it was a panic buy. Just saying

As a lifelong Tory voter, I have abandoned them for the Lib Dems. The Tory leadership contest, and the last Labour one have only served to demonstrate what an incredible dearth of talent there is among our politicians.

I have just won £130 on the fruit machine and I am now sitting with a bottle of Baltika and I think I have pulled the woman on the next table the only thing is she must be 90 so I'll have to insist she takes her teeth out if I'm to get a blow job😂😂😂😂😂

Glad I,m not the only one enjoying the cricket, after yesterday,s innings by Morgan I,m still getting over it what a show of batting skill, and my kids treated me to a pair of tickets to see England Vs Australia next week as a fathers day present. So lucky.

Good to hear - the Tories have given up any pretence of doing what's best for the country, it's all about the survival of the party and individual careers now. And we are in this mess precisely because an attempt to resolve a factional dispute within the Tory party backfired horribly. But, offhand, I can't think of too many stars in the LDs either!

Politically, the country is in deep shit. The boy band interview last night showed that none of them have a clue how to solve the B word, while individually the whole party is only interested in voting for a leader who will give them a job in the cabinet. Meanwhile, 150000 Tory blue rinses will vote in a PM who still needs the Ulster Unionists for a majority in Parliament. So, no mandate there then. General election? Labour and Tories both running scared here, because of the Farage factor. And note here, that however plausible he may seem to some, he was and remains a one person party surrounded by a bunch of serial fuckwits that make even Corbyn look sane at times. If it was so serious, it would be funny. But it is and it isn't. We are in deep shit.
