I’m surprised, no - amazed - that they make us th3 outright favourites. H and W surely should be the obvious call ? I’d think we are outsiders at best at the moment ... still very early days though and it will depend on who we get on board. But for now I can’t see us down as the outrights .

I’d have Havant ahead of us, possibly Ricay, but this all might be revised in a few weeks with better squad ideas

Last years predictions by the experts had Chesterfield as Clear favourites, Eastleigh relegated along with Braintree, Maidenhead and Havant and is comfortable in mid-table.
Non-League is unpredictable as the players are unknown to the “experts”.

The odds are virtually a listing of last seasons league positions, with one or two minor ' flexes '. Certainly Billericay are shorter odds than last years league position might predict, and Oxford City much longer odds.

They must read the forum then! Maidstone and Havant joint favourites at 6/1 then five clubs coming in at 12/1. Welling are now 14/1 (presumably to do with losing their manager)

Havant have signed Fedwell, Magri and Drury - all released by Gravesend. Added to the signing of Roarie Deacon and others, plus their experienced manager Doswell, it’s hard to look beyond them as outright favourites now. Surprised that Bet365 are still offering 8.0 on them TBH

As others have said, odds are probably based on last year's positions. Odds will change as much by how people start betting as by actual form. That is why the bookies always win in the long term.

What does this mean in English?
Are these good odds for the Folkestone friendly?

1.82 to beat Folkestone is ok odds. For every pound, you get 1.82 back.

Does that mean the bookmakers are expecting Maidstone to lose?
