Stop dissing a legend. If he left the Gate because he was paid too much and cost too much in injuries and Darts can afford both he may come to JWW and turn us over. I would have taken the chance with him as at least a super sub and for his long throws- Jamie Coyle obviously agrees! Trouble is JS2 and HH don’t know him. Darts fans will be loving it just because he was a Stones legend! Not good all round for us, but great for Flish who may well set NLS alight again. Or not! How effective are his long throw-in,s when most of the time he,s too injured to actually play 90mins. His best days are a distant memory, let,s see how well he does this season.

Dartford have not actually said that Alex has signed a contract. Last season Coyle and Flanagan seemed to sign more players on a non-contract basis than Tony Burman had in the past, so perhaps they have not taken such a risk.

So if we had offered him the same...........? All for moving on new players fresh start and all that but the odd legend around the place to remind us of better days cannot be a bad thing surely? If you based a squad on oldies that would be madness but the odd one or two can hardly break us!

He won’t commit to full time training so it’s a non starter even if JS was interested which I doubt very much anyway.

Oldboy this term "Legend" is used far too often an in fairness it was far too early in his lifetime to be calling Flisher a legend. He was very good in our leagues prior to his injury, after that injury he was never the same type of player he had lost a little bit of that something that made him special. Sadly he is no more than an ordinary player who has suffered lots of injuries, time will tell if he can last a whole season in the NLS I dont think he can but I would be happy if I was proved wrong. Time will tell.

Everyone who plays for us must earn their corn and justify their wage on their present performances not what they did 5 years ago ?

Didn’t you want a new, fresh, hungry team Yes but that doesn’t mean the odd hero or old boy should not be in the mix. Life isn’t black and white but shades of grey.

Go have a word with Bill Williams on match days if you really wanna reminisce about the past. Hes normally about and open to talking to anyone who approaches him.
