Exactly. But if I posted "the sun is out" Jake would misinterpret it as a mad criticism from me about the amount of rain. Love your new poster. Such a relief from the demon clown
Should be my poster too, but I'm trying to use subliminal messaging to get the club to adipt our new strip as the 1973 retro.
Just thinking, though, by saying "don't panic" aren't you implying LL that there is something to panic about? OMG you are making us feel panicky again..........................
It could be worse. Private Fraser combined with "We're all doomed"

It could be worse. Private Fraser combined with "We're all doomed" Nah, that was last season under the clown and the painful we-are-down-but-have-to-see-the-season-out months. Behind us now, thank God.

There is only sun in my heart... You have a liking for Spur's Korean player? I'm sorry - what was that word in front of 'Korean'?

You have a liking for Spur's Korean player? I'm sorry - what was that word in front of 'Korean'? It's an interesting grammatical conundrum. Is the word Spurs in this instance singular, in which case the correct possessive is Spurs's, or plural in which case it should be Spurs'. I think that in this context there is only one Spurs so it is a singular proper noun and thus the correct possessive is Spurs's, even though in spoken form you would never pronounce the apostrophised syllable.

Please chaps, for the sake of my health, can you stop posting non Stones comments on this thread?
I keep seeing that there is a new comment added in the thread "Another signing confirmed" and I get all, excited that we actually have made a new signing!
My oldboy ticker may not be able to take such excitement and instead I may start to panic again that we are going into another week with no more new signings.

Just for a moment I thought oldboy was posting a 'scoop' about the latest signing for MUFC. Instead he's breathing life into the non Stones comments on this thread

Nothing new at all ! The old news about Mitch Walker and MUFC still has currency (at least till we hear he's signed for another club)

I think it's more likely to follow the nicknaming convention as espoused by Test Match Special, where the name is shortened and then appended with "ers". It's still a singular proper noun even though it looks like a plural, an example familiar to Stones supporters being Matt Bodkin or Bodders.

I suppose it would sound awkward being a Spur fan so adding an s makes it roll off the tongue easier, they could though make it easier by saying I am a thick north London nutjob.

Oit leave my spurs alone the lot of ya. There's a bunch of spammers fans on here and it's us spurs fans that are being called nutjobs. Other than the non league teams in London, us spurs fans are the closest you got to normal fans in London, especially when it comes to league teams.
