3 new signings so far and nobody is getting too excited about their pedigree of EFL experience and the rest. During the past couple of seasons supporters have put plenty of value on the number of higher level clubs players have operated within as the main indicator as to the quality of a recruit who is likely to look the business in the National League. In truth disappointment followed disappointment in performances that followed. So we will be getting a totally new look squad for next season, with pretty much all the players having something to prove. It almost comes as a relief to hear that last season's players with contracts for next, have decided to move on. Nobody is saying that any of the new recruits so far are 'exciting' on paper, they look decent enough, but equally nobody seems too bothered. Interesting article today in KentOnline by Hakan, all about commitment, motivation, character and wanting to be at the club. Everything feels so different and that is no bad thing. With at least another 10 players needing to be signed, we live in interesting times Don't panic Nick its only May we have plenty of time

If I need lessons in learning how to panic oldboy, I know who to ask ! Nah, I'm cool now Nick thank you very much - The Doc has prescribed some chill pills. Maybe I should give them to those who get in a fret about my (alleged) panicking.
We have a few players interesting players in now, and HH is saying the right things (As per other post) so its all good.

Nobody will be surprised to hear that Blair Turgott is a goner and Bill has pretty much confirmed it today in his 'bulletin'. He talks about finding a replacement for Blair but nothing has been officially announced about his leaving. All the smart money is on a move to Leyton Orient. Still looks like 31/5 as a key date for players concluding some existing club contracts and starting new ones from 1/6. Oldboy will just have to be patient for a while longer for news.

It very much sounds like De havaland and Wishart been released from their contracts from Bill's bulletin as well time will tell to see how competitive we are next year but i think there is not much appetite to go straight back up but hope i am wrong.

No mention of Coker implies he will be off as well.

No mention of Coker implies he will be off as well. In fact, other than Blair, there was no mention of anyone other than those John Still has signed. Without additional information one could just as easily speculate that Bill either forgot about them or 'concentrated' on the new signings to try and show the value of John Still's scouting system and the new approach without meaning to imply anything about the other contracted players.

Just counting through the named players we know 100% definite will be turning out for MUFC next season. I think we have signed up for 19/20. Jake Cole Lewis Knight Clovis Kamdjo Justin Amaluzor Jake Embury Ibrahim Olutade I have a feeling I have missed a 'definite' somebody else- any offers ? (surely we have more than 6 players)
For sure there are a few others currently on the books, but for various reasons they are likely to move on when they find other clubs.

No Nick I think you are right with 6 players so we need a minimum 10 more to have a squad albeit a bare minimum one.

No one knows nuffin. So why don't we all just chill out and wait for the club to tell us wo they've signed?
I'm sure they will.

No one knows nuffin. So why don't we all just chill out and wait for the club to tell us wo they've signed? I'm sure they will. Bill has told us a bit, which is kind of encouraging, but the two messages I got were "There is more to preparing for next season than signing players" and "We are talking to 30 players".
On the first comment I understand his point, but we can get all the stadium maintenance and everything else perfect, but if we don't have at least 11+ talented and/or pashunat players on the pitch for the first game the rest of the prep is kind of irrelevant!
Also 30 is an optimistic number in terms of hit rate - it means that JS2 and HH expect 1:2 players they engage with to want to join us. Impressive if you can do it, but the numbers don't seem to add up for me, but I am not panicking, and in JS2 and HH I will trust.
Also we have the potential watershed date of 1st June for contracts end to hit yet, so it could all go mad on Friday!
