Just want to say that as a Coach, with Tristan, I liked SW, and his CV is amazing so I had high hopes he could be a part of MUFC in the rebuild process.
As a player he did try for us, and was passionate, but sadly was way past his best.
Most importantly, though, he was a Clown appointee and so unlikely to be kept on by JS2 and HH - especially with Anwar joining.
So, I wish him all the best.

As a player, he was well off the pace. We needed his kind of player but his legs were long gone.
As a coach, I know he rubbed many up the wrong way - maybe it is what was needed and the players were a bit precious.
Still not convinced the Tristan And Simon partnership was ever gonna thrive. I think anyone would have stood out as a breath of fresh air after Wheeler.
No animosity towards Simon though.

Yes SW was a strange one. Whenever I saw him training or playing he seemed well off the pace. Seemed a decent guy but tended to have a moan at other players who were not doing their bit and there was always plenty of choice. So as with plenty of other players it's no great loss that he is moving on.

I remember him at Guiseley and thought he seemed to be the calming midfield influence that we needed. However, by the time he arrived here he was clearly off the pace. What surprised me was he didn't seem to be able to compensate for his lack of pace/ fitness by being clever.
As for his moaning, he spent so much time shouting at other players that I don't think he kept up with the game - Gateshead at home, I think, he was still shouting at a front player for giving the ball away that ended up as a corner, when the corner was played short and they scored.
As for the TL partnership, I tend to agree that the HW period had got so toxic, so quickly that anyone who wasn't HW was bound to do better.

Not fussed about SW. Seemed to be very quick to point blame but never accept how crap and innefective he was, bar that hit against Wrexham.
I'm sure a few of the female facebook followers will be upset to see him go, but they are more drawn in by looks and words then actual playing ability.

He was one of the many over rated players we had this year, always seemed to spend most of the games blaming anyone of his team-mates dispite his constant errors. Cannot see him getting into any decent NL side next year. As for a coaching role I dont think he is good enough.
