So Dover are announcing our pre-season games before we are even announcing them ourselves?
Love them or hate them, Dover seem to be a far more efficiently run club than us right now - already announced both their retained/released list AND their pre-season friendlies! I wish we had!
Best stop there or Nick will take it that I am criticising out owners (Blessed be their names) again.

To be fair, the season only finished a week ago. We've go over two months to arrange pre-season. Just because Dover are quick off the mark doesn't mean we are less well organised than them.

I know what you are saying Dave, but given that our end of last season, summer close season and start to next season is not exactly business as usual (like you could say Dover's is?) but is hugely significant this year for us as a club, I was hoping for something quicker from us.
Also JS2 has known mostly what the situation is for many weeks, even months, now so I was hoping that the announcements would have been already prepared. Obviously not! I'll be quiet now.

Lol they were announced as I wrote the above. Well done JS2. Obviously we still have to get drip feed news on the 11 over time, but the 5/6 is what we expected, with a couple of surprises.

Away to Dover well if this actually goes ahead it will be a good test for whatever team we put together, better than last seasons friendlies, lets hope we can put a few more like this together, maybe a couple of games against Crystal Palace or maybe Brentford might result in a few of there players coming into our squad. We can only hope.

What's to say the club aren't working on finalising a few things before announcing all of our pre season friendlies at the same time. Someone said that the club would announce our retained list etc and people were on here complaining and whinging about it yet a few hours later the official statement was released. We seem to have a number of fans who when posting on here and other social media platforms, seem to want to see the club fail and trying to find any reason they can to take a pop at the owners. Dover release their retained/released list our fans jump all over the owners, why haven't we announced ours. Dover announce three pre season friendlies and our fans are jumping up and down whinging why haven't we released our. It seems some of our fans have been overrun with the success we had climbing the leagues quickly that they now have the spoilt brat attitudes of some premier league teams. Some of our opponents next season are not yet known, some of the players we maybe after could still be playing/under contract for a few more weeks meaning they can't sign for us until then. If we are still in this position by mid June then yes start jumping up and down and if we are in this position by 9/july (date of the first friendly) then you can get your pitchforks out and chase the owners.

Isn't it the 'norm' that in a psf the 'bigger' club normally plays away .
Thus for the purposes of a psf, can maidstone supporters take pride in the fact that they are obviously a 'bigger' club than Dover ?

Maybe the game is part of the deal where we take a few of their released / out of contract players { only joking }

Do you think the owners have persuaded JS that playing Sevenoaks will be a good idea? Septic Pegg predicts an away game for the Stones.
