Our best chance of boosting finances will be a mega cup run - in other words third round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford, live on TV. That or the club buy a euromillions lottery ticket that wins a multiple rollover in the £100 million category... How about that for a news story every fan of the club buys a Euro millions ticket, give said ticket to the club an await results.

Word not unadjacent to the car park has it that we have signed two players - or are in the process of so doing (the car park is a bit confused these days).

Were brown paper envelopes handed over to said players by Bill in an Arthur Daley coat and were the players in question driving new Porches (FT) or plumbers vans (PT)?

I’ll buy a Euro millions ticket for tonight and hope for the best. Should I win, I’ll buy TC and OA out and then begins the new era of the Wetherspoons arena.

The last thing we need is a Wetherspoons arena as who needs a place where old men can sit and nurse a half pint whilst moaning all game. Oh hold on ,what am I saying? It would be perfect for llcoolj 😂😂😂

Love your enthusiasm oldboy, but I think it may well be a few seasons before we are ready to do battle in the NL again dont really want a sugar daddy to invest, but if there is no sudden increase in the clubs bank balance I fear we will always be a yo-yo club in the NL Indeed, the enthusiasm is my black and amber heart but my head, like you, suggests that we may be in NLS for a few seasons.
My analytical mind however, then says to me "But surely JS2 and HH (and Anwar and Chris) were hired for an instant bounceback, so if that DOESNT happen we face a whole new Management team (again) for the NLS season after next?
So, my conclusion of my heart, head and mind, is that if JS2, HH, AU, CL and uncle Tom Cobley and all succeed in the bounceback to NL, but we are equally unprepared for NL, we may well yo-yo straight back down again and if they fail to bounceback we could be in NLS for at least another two seasons whilst yet another Management "team" beds in with yet another new squad.
Oh for the days of stability under Jay!
Maybe our new kit should be a black and amber roller coaster!
Why would we have to change managers again ? Surely if we fail but make a good fist of the challenge they would be given another season to go one Better. You don't have to change managers every year as surely there are different levels of failure. What would have happened to Man Utd if they had got rid of old purple nose after his abject failure first season in the job. Not everybody is desperate to bounce straight back and should JS2 &HH just fail I don't think it would make much sense to rip everything up and start again.

Whilst I agree in principle with you sword I think sadly football in general has changed so much since old Fergie got the Utd job, I dont think we will ever see a manager have that sort of confidence installed in them by any club, I think there is too much pressure on a manager to bring instant success to a club, an failure is almost always followed by the sack. I think it will be a long long time before we have a manager in position for years an years unless we win promotion an almost every game. Sad but that is how football has changed.

You maybe right as let's face it my other team Whitley Bay fc sacked 3 managers last season.

You are right when talking about Premier league clubs but please tell me this isn’t so at non-league! How very sad. The reason we kept faith with Jay was what made us different. I respected that.

Indeed, in principle I also agree Sword it would be better for stability for JS2 and even HH to be still in post if we have a good season but just don't make NL.
However, I was going by JS2's comments that he is only hear for a year and wants to hand over to HH after next season and an impression I got - cant recall where from - that Oliver, Terry and Co were expecting JS2 and HH to deliver a return to NL, and hired them on that basis - or have I got that wrong?

Why do people think we will struggle so much in NLS? Examples of Braintree, Torquay and Woking in the last couple of seasons reveal that there is a bit of a relegation bounce... of course, if we do not bounce straight back then we could 'Do a Dartford'.

I don't actually think we will struggle, Steve, I'm just not sure if we will be Champions or play off winners or losers, or just miss the play offs. Id like to think we would come any lower than that!
